Alabama Republican Roy Moore has announced he is running for U.S. Senate again in 2020 after failing to win the seat two years ago amid sexual misconduct accusations.
Moore announced his campaign Thursday, seeking an eventual rematch against Democratic Sen. Doug Jones. The announcement upends an election viewed by Republicans as a top priority in 2020 and ignores President Donald Trump's warning that he "cannot win."

Is it really? I know bastards like Jeff Flake donated to the Jones campaign, as did many liberal @$$holes all across the nation.
Again, money would not decide that campaign, but Jones represented the only means of striking back at Trump, so many people were heavily motivated both in and out of Alabama. For many people, money was the only means they had to make themselves feel as if they were helping, but money did not in fact win it for Jones.
It was the massive repeating of smears against Moore on the national "news" channels, and the deliberate backstabbing of Moore by national party officials.
Now to clarify, our Republican cowards in national office would not have backstabbed Moore were it not for the massive media campaign asking them "how dare you support such an evil man as Roy Moore?", and so it was really the media lie spreading machine that was the proximate cause for the entire thing.
Tommy’s a pretty good guy, and espouses clear conservative values. He’d make a great senator. I’ll vote for Byrne first, then Tommy, in that order. Roy is not on my list.

Too many of us are stampeded by what the media liars tell us. The media have far too much power to control elections in the United States.

I meant that Roy exhibited a clear lack of passion in defending himself against that smear. He added credence to the smear and left his defenders holding the bag.
Are you referring to the Primary? Yes, they really didn't want Moore. They wanted someone who would play "Let's make a deal" in Washington DC.
Moore already showed them that he wouldn't bend with the "Gay Marriage" thing, and the "Ten Commandments" thing.
Washington DC doesn't want that. They want someone they can bribe or coerce, they don't want "Captain America" as his troops called him in Vietnam, because he was so straight laced.

Alabama is full of people every bit as conservative as Moore. I believe we can do better than Moore ... but let’s so who runs. It always comes down to comparative choices.
There is merit to this view. I think one of the things that scares a lot of people is the fear he would be too rigid, too flamboyant, and too easy to mock by what the "Establishment" people and media will portray as religious oriented "nuttiness."
I hope Alabama can weigh the facts and make a good decision. I'll support them in whatever they decide, be it Moore or no Moore.

He said he was going to file suit, and then I think he dropped the idea after the election.
The plain fact remains, he can't get money out of them, and he can't get his reputation back, and the only one with money that could be sued was Gloria Allred, and she did her dirty work in New York instead of Alabama, so Moore would have to face a hostile New York Jury instead of one that might be friendly to him in Alabama.
Allred knows how to be a lying snake and get away with it. She would be hamburger if she had did what she did in the state of Alabama.

What has Moore been proven to have done wrong? All I've seen are accusations that collapse on their own weight when you look at them seriously.
