True the Vote, a nonpartisan conservative election integrity group that fought a nearly decade-long battle with the IRS and other federal agencies that unfairly targeted the group, has won a major decision in federal court and shall be awarded maximum attorney fees.
This is a huge victory for every American who thinks that they cant go up against the government and get what they deserve, Catherine Engelbrecht, True the Votes founder, told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview ahead of the groups public announcement of the victory. This is an opportunity to make very clear that we didnt back away and, therefore, American citizens didnt back awayand we won.
Engelbrecht added in her interview with Breitbart News that she believes this victory for ordinary Americans against an overreaching and unfair federal government should be dedicated to Breitbart News founder Andrew Breitbart, who before he passed away in 2012, when the news was first breaking of these IRS malfeasances against conservatives, called Engelbrecht to express his support for her cause.

I'm glad they won, but I'd rather Lois Lerner & others were paying the penalty instead of the taxpayers.
So agree.
Every director and manager related to such a malfeasance, active or retired, should have their salary and retirement immediately reduced by 10% for each instance.

It would cost the taxpayer a fortune but I’d like to see this precedent setting judgement become the rallying point for every person who was wronged by the IRS in the obama revolution to sue and win against the IRS.
Better yet though unlikely would be for the perps to be marched to the gallows and pilloried along the way by those they tormented.
I agree with both of you.
Somehow, someway, the LIEberal bureaucrats who committed this FRaud MUST be forced to personally pay!
As it is now, We Poor Suffering Taxpayers will pay, and THAT IS JUST NOT RIGHT!
The LIEberals have got to learn the hard way that PAYBACK IS A BITCH!
$2mm? Not nearly enough.
OLD NEWS: By MATTHEW BOYLE 6 Jun 2019
Posted and discussed two week ago.
Lois Lerner should be in jail and pension revoked.
Koskinen should be in Gitmo.
I did search on the title. And then I searched ‘older articles’. Didn’t find anything on it, & I’d totally missed the story.
I donate (501C3 deductible) monthly to True the Vote, but have not heard much about their national voting rights records.
Good to know they’ve won.
Thank you for posting this. I’d missed it too.
Glad True The Vote won, but fining the taxpayers instead of prosecuting and fining the perps is galling. There’s no deterrent against future abuse of power. Just the opposite. Those considering, or being instructed to engage in corrupt actions are reassured there’s no personal downside.
About time. Now when are soetoro, lerner and the rest going to prison?
Well, that didnt take long. They should be paid interest! Friggin bastards!
“...the perps to be marched to the gallows and pilloried along the way by those they tormented.”
I’m for them being tied to a hurdle and pulled to the gallows behind a horse, hanged, disemboweled, and beheaded, with the corpse torn into quarters by horses and the parts distributed across the nation as a warning to other bureaucrats to clean up their acts.
Or twenty years at hard labor. Time to get serious!! 8^)
...and this is what the federal government can do to those it comes against. Ten year, two million dollar legal battle.
Lois Lerner belongs in jail.
Excellent
Or in Wu’s pigs...
and yet Lois Lerner still has her retirement pension which is much as $102,600 per year... ..
We may dream but we both know it will never happen.
Agree. We get a good decision, but the only winners are the lawyers.
