I agree that most of them are doing schtick. “I am a great American!” Do you consider Limbaugh to be a fraud?
Rush joined the “birther” attacks on anyone who wanted the Constitution upheld.
He has also carried the water for plenty of Cheap Labor Express stooges like Micro Rubio.
” Do you consider Limbaugh to be a fraud?”
Even though you weren’t directing the question at me, I’ll give you my two cents worth. IMO Rush is a patriot, but his “brilliance” is highly over rated - especially by himself. He’s a self promoter, and I think he really buys into his own schtick about how smart he is. I remember when he first came on the scene how he would slavishly spout certain talking points that I had just read in some National Review article, and try to portray it as some original thought of his. He wants people to believe he’s some deep thinker or intellectual, but he’s not. Even now, he’s so far behind the curve on what’s actually going on. He finally started using the term ‘Deep State’ to describe the obstructionist forces in Washington, but he still doesn’t understand what it means.
Having said that, as far as helping to educate the public about conservatism vs liberalism, he’s done a good job. And I’ll give him credit for coining the term ‘Low Information Voters” (at least I think he came up with it. Either way he helped popularize the phrase). It’s a useful term.
Theyre all entertainers who bring a lot of B.S. to the air, but Limbaugh sure isnt a fraud. Hes actually one of the few characters in the industry who is truly an original.
I consider Rush Limbaugh profoundly disingenuous: He is too shrewd not to know that most Republicans in national office are globalist shills - controlled opposition - but he gives them cover by either: saying they do not understand that real conservatism wins elections; saying they are mindlessly intimidated by the media.
The RINOpublicans belong to Tom Donahue, George Soros, Wall Street, and K Street - and, through them, to China, Mexico, et al. They are complicit in the coup, and in the ruin of the nation. Rush knows that, but always stops short of declaring it flatly, and attacking them. He is part of the Club, and does not want to lose his gig.
