Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report on the Russia investigation should never have been written, according to Alan Dershowitz.
The Constitution does not explicitly provide for special counsels or special prosecutors, Dershowitz said Tuesday on "The Ingraham Angle."
He added such offices are "inconsistent" with the founding document, adding that there wasn't a pretense for the several-hundred-page conclusion to the investigation into President Trump.
Dershowitz also claimed Democrats have no legal right to have Mueller testify before them.
"Prosecutors have a right to say only one thing: We have concluded there's no evidence sufficient to charge the president with Russian collusion or obstruction of justice, period. I'm taking no questions, I'm making no public report. I'm giving my findings to the attorney general.

"No prosecutor should go beyond that."
Earlier Tuesday, House Democrats passed a civil enforcement resolution they said effectively holds Attorney General William Barr and former White House counsel Don McGahn in contempt of Congress.
Barr previously skipped a hearing on the findings of the Mueller report after Trump asserted executive privilege.
The news came just a day after a key Democrat-led committee postponed its own contempt vote and said the Justice Department was cooperating with its investigation.

Good. Then I won’t be reading it.
Mueller can and should be called to testoify as to why his report seems to be inconsistent with known facts.
The only reason to read it is if you either hate trump anyway or you think that Mueller is a Trump shill that should be prosecuted for fraud. The latter relates to what the DA in Chicago did regarding Smollett.
But there is no evidence that happened here.
The Democrats are left with only one thing - find some way to spin it as a negative against Trump. That is problematic because they are so vulnerable themselves. It’s like a lifelong drunk claiming that another person got drunk one night.

Dershowitz seems to be a fair person but you’ve got to realize that he voted for the QBU. He’s an ideologue of the left.
I think the Republican’s should delay him coming before Congress for anything. Not because he shouldn’t testify. I think he should. But, to go through it thoroughly and find out how many times he and his squad withheld evidence, statements, etc, as they did with the transcript of the voicemail and then slam him for Perjury and Obstruction. Let’s see how fast he tries to throw some of his underlings under the bus. But, at the end of the day, it’s his signature on the bottom of everything.
And since the report nailed Russia in trying to interfere, why or why isn’t the House leadership not concerned about it. Their concern is to diss Trump and his 60 million plus voters before the election and it will back fire on them.
He’s never said he wasn’t a Liberal, nor has Turley. And the both of them have routinely called out this whole charade as a joke.

Bottom line: Dershowitz still is a strong Hillary supporter and has said on Fox that she should not be investigated. If Mueller testifies, whether requested by Democrats or otherwise, the truth about Hillary can’t help but be exposed. Our new BFF Dershowitz (whom I do not trust) does not want that.
What possible value would that line have other than to embarrass the President?

Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch has been saying the same thing.
But Hillary said he had to write it and told them what to write. I’d say he stepped to the mike on her orders.
Mueller’s vulnerability to Perjury and Obstruction is exactly why he will never testify and exactly why the House Rats won’t ever swear him in.
Dershowitz has come to a sickening realization. The liberal politics that he helped define and promote for most of his life have become the platform for an odious and socially acceptable form of anti Semitism. He ought to try to insert a pro Israel plank in the coming Democratic platform and then witness the response among today’s Democrats.
His political beliefs are the classical liberalism. I don’t like it but I can respect it. We don’t have enough of that today. The advent of the progressive agent and their take no prisoner methods are what has given us this hate filled political landscape.
The reports conclusions on what the Russians did is far from new information. The Soviet Union and its Russian successor state have been interfering in our politics for over a 100 years. Why the surprise.
I agree. But, he put it down on paper and signed it. Perjury and Obstruction isn’t only in verbal form. Lie on a search warrant and that’s Perjury. I think they already have him with the “transcript” of the voicemail. No telling how much more stuff is in that report.
The Russian’s did not leak Hillary emails to Assange.
Mueller straight up lied. Through his teeth. Bald faced.
