My story begins with my mami (mommy).

THAT is the headline that needs to be used against all the crying about “how much tariffs are going to cost American consumers”.
As a life long bookkeeper, I can assure you that even if a ‘farm worker’ under a Greed Card or Bracero status is working here legally, they claim 9 dependents on their W-4 paperwork. I actually caught an 18 y/o male claiming 9 dependents. I asked the ranch foreman what was going on—(I was new to that job)-—and he said that the guy was single, but he was supporting family members in Mexico.
I told him that US Tax/IRS laws do not allow such dependents to be claimed here on a paycheck. He said ‘that is what they all do’. I put a halt to that & demanded all new W-4 cards. I told the foreman that I would put the kid into the system as single-1 and nothing else. He had absolutely NO dependents inside the USA.
That was for a legal situation with Green Card Ag workers.
Now-—when someone isn’t even on the payroll system-—and is working for cash—they absolutely are NOT paying anything in state & federal income taxes or Social Security or Medicare.
That lie has been circulating for years and the Dems keep pushing it.
I lived in Los Angeles for over 29 years. The illegals live 15 or more to a 3 bedroom apartment—against ALL building codes-—and they send back to Mexico or further south almost 80% of their earnings. This became very evident when the 1971 earthquake hit & suddenly apartments were red tagged. The number of occupants in those apartments came streaming out like roaches.
Those who actually are on a payroll & get a W-2 file a Federal tax form 1040 & then get the EARNED INCOME CREDIT & child credits & walk away with millions in dollars paid by other taxpayers. NOT PAID BY THEM.
This has been challenged by some Watchdog groups, but IRS tells them-—Show me where in the TAX CODE that these people cannot get those credits....and Congress WILL NOT pass such a code.
Northridge Hospital was considered the best Trauma unit in the San Fernando Valley. It was state of the art & won many awards for excellence. I left So Calif in 1993, and that hospital closed it’s Trauma unit some time ago due to non-payment by illegals for all their gunshot & knife wounds. IIRC, the whole hospital shut down later. A loss to the entire LEGAL community caused by the ILLEGAL INVADERS.
