My story begins with my mami (mommy).
She had just found out she was pregnant again when she decided to immigrate to the United States. She was tired of working long hours, jumping from town to town and still not being able to provide for her growing family.

It is so easy to win these arguments.
If the guy or gal came through the doorway, applied in a legal fashion for a work-visa, and correctly paid taxes....then I don’t have a issue to this. However, if you are talking about 15-odd million folks who have no visa, and a fair number of these people using fake SSN’s to establish employment, or not paying taxes at all....then why bother with them?
Illegal aliens (not legal immigrants) are a net loss in terms of benefits verses taxes they pay. It is a great loss of billions of dollars yearly in welfare and medical care.
I think they are entitled to one thing only which is a plane ticket to their country of origin. If they are caught a second time one year of hard labor in prison. If caught a third time make it many years. The prison should be a prison farm so it is self supporting and thus not a loss to the tax payer of our great nation.
I am married to a Mexican National now a USA citizen. She came to our great nation legally and was educated in our universities. She grabbed the American Dream and ran with it. Her father paid out of country tuition for her. It was very high. She has been successful in the extreme with her several degrees none of which is in liberal arts, it was all the hard sciences and math and computer engineering.
That is the way it is supposed to work. I welcome immigrants that share the American Dream. I abhor those that just wish to live off our most generous system. That also applies to those of American heritage.
It is my nation and not theirs!

Illegals cost the American taxpayers billions of tax dollars. Working under the table whilst collecting benefits that should be for citizens only, and then, to top it off, sending billions of dollars back home in remittances. They are nothing but a drain, so no, they are not entitled to healthcare, just a good, swift kick back across the border.
They pay taxes....the sales tax every time they buy a pack of Corona.
While our rates continue to rise well beyond affordability.

Actually I do realize just that. This is why my addressed my comment to “all” instead of directing it to artichokegrower.

Immigrants who are legal citizens of this country, regardless of their race, country of origin, or religion, deserve every right I get. (I can take issue with the immigration processes, but if they navigated it legally...they are Americans like me)
People here illegally deserve nothing except apprehension and deportation.
It is that simple.
We also have large numbers of citizens who have difficulty paying their medical bills. Actual born-here-to-two-Americans citizens, including young children.
Kiss the lily whiteness of my backside. I sympathize, but people have to take responsibility for the situations in which they place themselves. For instance: If you enter a country illegally with a number of children and no spouse and don’t apply for citizenship, you don’t qualify for assistance, because that is reserved for... Citizens! It’s also not a permanent solution for citizens unless they have a very serious, bankrupting chronic illness, and require assistance. The average person, who is reasonably healthy, is not meant to depend on Medicaid for the entirety of their life.
Being one of those chronically ill people, I always find myself upset at pieces like this. If they wanted entitlements, they should have gone up to Canada.

If they contribute so much, why aren’t they getting poached off by all the other countries they’re going through? Is everybody stupid and not wanting this bonanza?
The libs also use this same trick about crime. Immigrants have a lower rate of crime. Illegal immigrants have a very high rate of law breaking even if you discount breaking into our country.
One kid in school almost surely costs more than the illegal pays in taxes, if he pays anything other than sales tax.
The only thing they deserve is to be jailed and deported.
I don’t give a rat’s a** how much the ILLEGAL ALIENS have supposedly “paid”. They all are criminals . Seize their ill-gotten assets . ..Kick these invaders OUT .
They send the bulk of their incomes to their countries...remittance payments account for about 30% of the GNP of all the latin American countries.
