Congressman Jeff Van Drew last week called for Congress to move on from investigations around the Mueller Report and talk of impeaching President Donald Trump, and begin doing the nation’s business.
There will be an election in 18 months, he said, and until then Congress needs to focus on issues both parties can work together to address.
“But what I am done with, barring any new evidence, is any talk of impeachment, investigations, or divisive, unproductive politics,” Van Drew said in a written statement. “It is time to move forward.”

Ah, but they relish the thought of making the seemingly sound idea that an impeached PDJT shouldn’t be allowed to nominate RBG’s replacement.
Of course, they’ll weigh RGB’s health in regard to that question.

He wants to be reelected while Trump does well in the 2nd.
Exactly - but he’s always been a moderate, “close to home” guy who’s stood up against his own ‘rat party when it meant trying to protect the interests of his south Jersey constituents against the rapacious north Jersey pols (the Philly to Atlantic City rail line was recently closed for months due to safety upgrades - rumors were around that it would never open again because the people up north wanted the rail cars for use there - Van Drew was one of those who made a lot of noise about keeping it south, and it’s open again as of two weeks ago) - I’ve never voted for him, but I wasn’t too upset to see him take the seat from the Republicans - for now any way......
In case he hasn’t noticed his party has been taken over by radical leftists, socialists and leftwing loons who want to destroy capitalism, the Constitution and wipe out personal liberty. They believe the people to be too ignorant to make any decisions in their lives and an all encompassing government must make those decisions for them.

My thought, too. AOC better give him what for!
He makes a better RINO than the RINO he replaced (Biondo). I have to admit I have chatted with Van Drew and he is a staunch supporter of the 2nd Amendment but as a prior NJ state senator, he couldn’t control his party. I do respect the man for trying to be balanced.
