You are so right about the healing possible through faith. However if this poor child is from a culture that blames the woman, this ends up being sanctioned honor killing. No matter what the justification, it is a sad state of humanity.

Plenty of people have traumatic childhoods and figure a way to get through it. Time heals a lot of wounds. As someone said, today’s left tells jumpers to jump.
I suspect the rapes were all in her head. She claims to have been raped on three separate occasions by four different men over three years. She reported none of these events to the police.
And if he was caught he probably was given a tap on the wrist which probably drove this girl more crazy. A lot of suicide, self harm is done to hurt or get back at other people which to me sounds what this girl is/was about. They dont show the photos here, but in other articles she had huge self inflicted cuts on her arms.
Her parents had no idea she was tortured mentally until her mom found a plastic envelope in her room around the same time filled with farewell letters to them and friends, according to the Dutch newspaper De Gelderlander.
“I was in shock,” her mom, Lisette, told the paper. ‘We didn’t get it. Noa is sweet, beautiful, smart, social and always cheerful. How is it possible that she wants to die? “We have never received a real answer. We just heard that her life was no longer meaningful. For only a year and a half have we known what secret she has carried with her over the years,” she said. “We, her parents, want[ed] her to choose the path of life.”
Her dad, Frans, said the teen underwent electroshock therapy. He hoped she’d “see bright spots [in life] again, ‘perhaps fall in love’ or learn to discover that ‘life is worth living.”

She got medical assistance. What isn’t mentioned was if she was given spiritual assistance.

Belinda was shocking to me when I saw it. I was about 13. The deaf mute victim couldn’t tell anyone. it was so sad. She was depressed, until she had the baby. Then she became very joyful and had a purpose in life. A verypro-life film.
I’ve read that depression is suppressed anger. I tend to believe that suppressed anger is a major cause of true depression, as depression is much more then feeling sad. I wonder if, both unexpressed anger, as well as trauma, can change the brain chemistry which would cause mental illness?
