I don't understand how this happens. TSA doesn't have any right (nor have they ever tried) to search my phone. Unless you're showing off your pictures to everyone standing around you, how do they manage to find any pictures, much less child porn?

TSA rarely does anything with devices unless they suspect it is somehow a phony device and could be bomb or something like that.
Customs (CBP) would be the agency searching phones or devices when crossing a border or entering the country through an airport.
