The government only has to *say* they found it on you. No victim or witness is needed.
It is then up to you to prove it was planted. And if you do get lucky enough to do so, the government will say “oops” and nothing will happen to any of them. Meanwhile your name is in every newspaper as a child pornographer.
Same thing is done with the “war on drugs”

Well he’s probably flagged somehow from his previous conviction. I would hope it would be routine to ask to check the electronic devices of people with that particular flag if they are coming into the country.
