Update: 7.25pm: Gardaí believe three men wearing balaclavas were involved in today's shooting in Coolock.
They understand that the three left the scene in a silver Toyota Avensis with a registration number 04-D-71806, which was found burnt out in the Castletymon Gardens area of Coolock at around 3.45pm.
The scene has been preserved for a forensic examination and a post mortem will take place tomorrow.
There has been another similar incident in the past year or two as well there in Ireland. Of course, Netherlands has had an incident or two as well.

or if they wasted him to obstruct an investigation into a hit that he already carried out...
or if they did it out of an abundance of caution because he has a big mouth...
or if they did it because they could...

Through the whole article, I would take the prospective that some gang war over drugs has erupted...this Iranian guy was brought in for business, and then got whacked. The cops are curious about the war (since no one is telling them much) and it’s probably going to be a few more gentlemen dead before this drug-war ends.

I think yours is the most plausible reasoning. Also, the war is probably amongst the same group otherwise they wouldn’t have known the hit man was there or what he was. It’s the number Two in the organization trying to take control. (A full round of popcorn to everyone on the thread.)
