A federal judge on Friday blocked a Mississippi law that banned abortions once a fetus's heartbeat is detected, as early as six weeks into pregnancy. Judge Carlton Reeves, an Obama appointee, wrote that the law "threatens immediate harm to womens rights, especially considering most women do not seek abortion services until after 6 weeks."

They may be sweet, but they don’t sound smart.
Just one little tiny problem! The Constitutions does not mention abortion or anything close. The original law and court arguments were based upon some really serious stretches of logic, ones that honest and moral people find disturbing.
It's called, the 60s. The "Greatest Generation" raised a bunch of spoiled brats who esteemed instant gratification and selfish desires over the lives of the unborn.
The dictatorial power of judges was predicted in in the “Anti-Federalist Papers” Brutus XI 31 January 1788.
Where it was pointed out that people constantly seek to gain power over other. And that the judiciary would so by progressive little steps through it’s rulings over a long period of time. And that’s how it has turned out.
The Southern District of MS has 6 seats. 1 Reagan, 2 GWB, 1 barky, 1 recent vacancy, and 1 vacant for over a year.
2 questions:
1) Why does the lone barky judge get the case?
2) Why is a seat in a solidly Conservative state vacant for over a year? (Hello Cocaine Mitch! Please pick up the courtesy phone!)
**************************************************
The Senate has not yet received the name of a nominee for those two vacancies from the President. Perhaps the President is waiting until Mitch and Lindsay move faster and reduce the backlog of current judicial nominees pending in the Senate.
There are currently 137 Federal Judge vacancies. There were 112 vacancies when Trump assumed office. McConnell and Graham have been doing a good job in filling Appeals Court vacancies but they are doing a CRAPPY job of confirming District Court vacancies. SPEED IT UP!
It was noted in their discussions that there was no check on the Supreme Court.
Arguably, this judge is participating in killing off his own race. I read an article recently where some 42,000 black babies were aborted in New York vs approximately 22,000 births.
The motivation behind the new laws from Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Missouri, Kentucky, Ohio, Arkansas, and Utah is to have them overturned and brought up before the US Supreme Court.
Another Obama Judge just halted the construction of the Wall based on separation of powers. Never mind it was the ACLU who sued and they have NO standing to complain that Congressional power is being usurped.
There is nothing that Trump can do that some Obama Appointed Judge cant and wont rule against.
This has gotten to the point of being a pathetic power grab. Paging Mitch McConnell, however much you want to pat yourself on the back for getting judges through, you havent gotten through nearly enough. This is an absolute destruction of our democracy.
If Congress did not think it had given the President the power to divert funds then why did it try to repeal the law?
Prove that Obama was not eligible to be president and then all of his judicial appointments go bye bye.
Here is the thing. Those powers not delegated to the Federal Government via the constitution are to be decided by the states. One could strip away 90% of federal interference just by enforcing that provision alone.
A perfect example of being on the porch!!
Margaret Sanger:
We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We dont want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.
