Christopher Steele is a former MI6 agent who set-up Orbis Business Intelligence and compiled a dossier on Donald Trump. Theresa May’s spy chiefs were secretly briefed on an explosive dossier of claims about Donald Trump’s ties to Russia before the US president was made aware of its existence, The Telegraph can reveal.

The heads of MI5 and MI6 and one of Mrs May’s most trusted security advisers were told about former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele’s memos on the Trump campaign in the weeks after his November 2016 election victory. Mr Trump himself would only learn of the document, which included an allegation strenuously denied by Mr Trump that he hired prostitutes to perform a lurid sex act in a Moscow hotel, in January 2017 when alerted by the FBI before taking office.

The disclosure risks deteriorating...--snip--

We need to take a full inventory of UK government interference in US politics, and while we’re at it, revoke BP’s immunity to lawsuits, lawlessly extended by Obama, from the Gulf spill.

Rogue elements in the US government conspired with foreign powers against a lawfully elected US president. I think there’s a word for that ...

Theresa May is not the entirety of the UK.

... in the weeks after his November 2016 election victory.

And they're not embarrassed with such an admission?

Two options...
1. It's a lie and they were fully aware of what was going on.
2. They're incompetent and they should all be fired for not knowing what all of DC and the MSM, seemingly, was fully aware of.

I'm going with option 1.

Can we please declassify now? Obviously the so called concerns of our “allies” are now exposed in the public domain.

Fascist Britain is not our ally and I wonder why Trump continues to plan a state visit to London this summer. He should be visiting countries in Eastern Europe that are our friends, Poland, Hungary, Austria, Italy and a few more where he can count on not being stabbed in the back.

Pardon me for my skepticism, but there is no way that May and others in the British government didn’t know about the Steele “dossier” well before the election. Steele would never jeopardize his job/”retirement” with MI6 by going solo on something of this magnitude. Likewise, Obama attempted to influence the Brexit vote - yes, in collusion with the British government.

Expect a LOT of bullshit stories in the coming months in attempts to justify, explain and rationalize what was clearly an attempt to directly influence an American election - not by the Russians, but by treasonous individuals within the US government.

Jamie Gorelick was part of the BP oil spill legal team. The same Jamie Gorelick who made 26 million while shielding Fannie Mae from investigation (leading to the housing market crash that affected global markets). The same Jamie Gorelick who interfered in national security defense by establishing a “wall” between intelligence agencies culminating in the 9-11-2001 terrorist attack on New York and Washington DC.

Ben Riley-Smith tweets: Lots is known about how the FBI handled the Steele dossier - 17 memos compiled by former MI6 agent Christopher Steele about Trump campaign’s Russia links. But the story of what UK intelligence leaders knew is revealed for the first time by the Telegraph.

Throughout the summer + autumn of 2016 Steele had uncovered a string of concerning allegations. Among them - that Trump campaign figures had secretly met Russians, the Kremlin was trying to tilt the election + there was “kompromat” on the candidate himself (always denied). Before the Nov 2016 election Steele had been determined to warn the Americans, passing on what he knew to the FBI. But after Trump’s shock win, he decided the claims he uncovered were now an issue of British national security.

It was time to approach the UK government...

The man Steele approached was Sir Charles Farr. He was head of the Joint Intelligence Committee - the body that assess intelligence. He had also been a top counter-terrorism adviser in May’s Home Office. Plus Steele had known Farr for 20 years. He would know what to do. Steele and Farr met a week after Trump’s election win. The venue was Farr’s detached house on a suburban street in Wimbledon, South London - an incongruous venue given what they were to discuss. For hours the pair went through Steele’s explosive memos line by line. Farr would ask questions. Steele would spell out what he knew.

After their meeting, Farr reached a conclusion - the dossier had to go up the chain of command. Within days, according to well-placed sources, the allegations were shared with the most senior intelligence figures in Britain.MI5 director general Andrew Parker and MI6 chief Alex Younger are both understood to have been briefed.

Britain’s spy chiefs then had a decision - should they tell May? The PM was used to receiving classified intel from her Home Office days. She is likely to have been aware of Steele’s work from the Litvinenko inquest. But also, she needed to build a relationship with Trump...—snip—

Yup,saw that. Not surprised. Knowing that DJT can't address the British Parliament but the Butchers of Beijing can surely indicates that Trump Derangement Syndrome isn't just a US phenomenon. IIRC the Australian government recently released a statement acknowledging that one of their diplomats,Alexander Downer, did meet with Papadopolos in 2016.

I suppose if we can't depend on top US Government officials to obey certain laws we're silly to expect foreigners to do so. But it seems that there's hope,as suggested by my tagline (which I lifted from a caller to the Howie Carr Show in Boston).

If you read the comments section under the original article, the British people are furious with May’s involvement.

Per Wiki

Jamie S. Gorelick served as the Deputy Attorney General of the United States from 1994 to 1997, during the Clinton administration. She has been a partner at WilmerHale since 2003 and has served as on the board of directors of Amazon since February 2012.

Gorelick served on British Petroleum’s Advisory Council, as their top legal counsel after the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill.[2] She was appointed by former Senate Democratic Leader Tom Daschle to serve as a commissioner on the bipartisan National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States, which sought to investigate the circumstances leading up to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and also served as Vice Chairman of Fannie Mae.

Gorelick represented Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of Donald Trump, as he considered a possible role in the White House. She had advised Kushner, who has sprawling financial interests in a multibillion-dollar global real estate empire, on how he might comply with federal ethics and anti-nepotism laws. She has argued that although officials leading federal agencies are barred from hiring relatives, the White House is not an agency and thus exempt
