I am grateful this plane will not yet be back in the skies until we are done with our vacation on Memorial Day. I have no interest in catching a 737MAX anywhere.

I think this will now be the safest plane ever.

Ever.

It is just a shame it was (apparently) not 100% right to begin with.

I’ll think about going on one in 10 years if there is are no other crashes.

“I am grateful this plane will not yet be back in the skies until we are done with our vacation on Memorial Day. I have no interest in catching a 737MAX anywhere.”

I would most happily fly as a passenger on a 737 Max tomorrow with the old system so long as the crew has been properly trained on the system and know the crew knew how to recognize the failure in the old system and then fly the aircraft by hand and how to override the computer system.

It should be noted that all the crashes were third world airlines. Without doubt this same failure must have happened even more often in first world airlines and there were no crashes.

I suspect two causes for these two crashes. First cause is “perhaps” Boeing not giving proper training on the new computer driven system to the airlines and secondly probably inferior pilots on third world airlines. Not proper training on the system is a function of the airlines if they were given proper information from Boeing on the new system. Of this we do not know. What puzzles me is only one angle of attack indicator driving a critical system with no redundancy.
