The Mechanics of Deception - Unlocking the People and Events Behind the Steel Russian Dossier
Glenn Simpson is the public face of Fusion GPS. He was the main contact for Perkins-Coie, the law firm that paid for the dossier on behalf of the DNC, the Clinton campaign, & several other financiers. He controlled & managed dossier contractors like Nellie Ohr & Chris Steele. It's clear From Fusion GPSs own materials that in 2011 and onwards that the company was already producing products in the form of commercial, financial, and political reports that were reaching the Oval Office and were being read by the president himself.
Nellie Hauke Ohr - The Third Contributor to the Russian Dossier. A graduate of Harvard in Russian History and literature she spent some time in Russia during the 1990s and according to at least one source, had powerful political connections there.

The political makeup of the Fusion GPS team was exclusively democratic with many of the employees and interns having a strong political connection to the Clinton or Obama administrations.
By 2015, Fusion GPS had offices in Washington D.C., LA, and London with a headcount in excess of 22 individuals that included:

"...a Ukrainian court ruled that the countrys National Anti-Corruption Bureau, closely aligned with the U.S. Embassy in Kiev, and a parliamentarian named Serhiy Leshchenko wrongly interfered in the 2016 American election by releasing documents related to Manafort."
Ukraine, a U.S. ally and neighboring foe of Russia, is soon to find out. And its a case with implications in the United States, where the fallout from the unproven Trump-Russia collusion scandal has engulfed several Ukrainians.
The countrys chief corruption prosecutor on Thursday opened an investigation into suspicions that Serhiy Leshchenko, a crusading anti-corruption member of Ukraines parliament and former investigative journalist, accepted bribes in 2016 from a Russian source that enabled him to buy a luxury condo far above his means. ...
-snip-
A Ukrainian court last December ruled that Leshchenko and the head of the countrys National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) an investigative agency modeled on Americas FBI both illegally meddled in the 2016 U.S. presidential election by leaking financial documents that smeared then-Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort
The documents, known as the black ledger, identified payments Manafort secretly received from a Russian-backed political party in Ukraine years earlier and led to Manaforts abrupt resignation from the Trump campaign. He eventually pleaded guilty to lobbying and tax violations and is in prison.
The court ruling against Leshchenko was an extraordinary admission of foreign government influence on Americas last presidential election.
But it wasnt Leshchenkos only intrusion into American politics, apparently.
Sworn testimony released a few weeks ago by Congress revealed Leshchenko also was a source of Russian dirt on Trump that was fed to Hillary Clintons opposition research firm, Fusion GPS, the firm that created the so-called Steele dossier that led to a two-year Russia probe that recently cleared Donald Trump of colluding with Russian President Vladimir Putin
So, a Ukrainian parliamentarian fed dirt to Clintons team and leaked to the media information that harmed the Republican candidates campaign? That seems like more collusion than was uncovered by special counsel Robert Muellers investigation.
But the most tantalizing information about Leshchenko surfaced in my interview Thursday with Ukraines chief anti-corruption prosecutor, Nazar Kholodnytskyy, who revealed that the alleged bribes to the parliamentarian and the condo purchase occurred around the time that Manafort stepped down under pressure based on Leshchenkos leak.
Absolutely that is one of the things they are going to be investigating, Kholodnytskyy told me when asked whether any of the Russian money could have been paid as an inducement or a reward for Leshchenkos meddling in the U.S. election.

From the Washington Post, May 11, 2019
Giuliani said he was calling off the trip because there were enemies of Trump on the team of Zelensky, a comedian with no previous political experience who toppled President Petro Poroshenko in a runoff election last month.
Zelensky who played Ukraines president on a popular TV show has pledged to fight corruption and push to end the war against Russian-backed separatists in eastern Ukraine.
Many Ukrainian officials see U.S. support as a key deterrent preventing Russian President Vladimir Putin from encroaching further on their territory.
Western diplomats in Kiev have voiced concerns that Zelensky, given his lack of political experience, could be outmatched in negotiations with Putin.

May 11, 2019 Update
Rudy Giuliani, President Trump's personal attorney, said Friday on "Fox News @ Night" that he will not be traveling to Ukraine as previously announced.
Giuliani, a former Republican mayor of New York City, said that he believed he would be "walking into a group of people that are enemies of the president, and in some cases, enemies of the United States and in one case, an already convicted person who has been found to be involved in assisting the Democrats with the 2016 investigation.
"There was a great fear that the new [Ukrainian] president would be surrounded by, literally, enemies of the president [of the United States] who were involved in that and people who are involved with other Democratic operatives," he told host Shannon Bream. ..."

From CBS News
May 10, 2019...
In an interview on Fox News The [Laura] Ingraham Angle Thursday night [May 9, 2019], Giuliani said that as Mr. Trumps lawyer, he has an obligation to develop explanations of what his client was charged with.
The fact is, this was a massive collusion between the Democratic National Committee, officials of the Obama administration, (Hillary) Clinton people, and the Ukrainian officials, corrupt officials who, by the way, were pro-Russian corrupt officials to create false information about Trump..."
This is this is real [collusion] not collusion conspiracy to present false information, and to leak it to the press, and to give it to the FBI, he claimed.

Great find; thanks for posting.
This is a must-read, hard-hitting investigative piece.
Of particular interest are the inter-connections between seemingly disparate individuals.
Thanks again!
On Wednesday, [May 1, 2019] Attorney General William Barr testified that he is concerned about the Trump-Russia dossier compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele and paid for by the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign.
Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) asked Barr whether or not the Department of Justice (DOJ) could confirm that the Steele dossier was not part of the disinformation campaign Russia used to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.
How do we know that the Steele dossier is not itself evidence of the Russian disinformation campaign, knowing what we know now that basically the allegations made therein were second-hand, hearsay, or unverified, Cornyn stated, referring to key claims in the dossier that the report from Special Counsel Robert Mueller disproved, such as the claim that Trump lawyer Michael Cohen traveled to Prague.
Can you state with confidence that the Steele dossier was not part of the Russian disinformation campaign? Cornyn asked.
No, I cant state that with confidence and that is one of the areas that Im reviewing, Barr replied. Im concerned about it and I dont think its entirely speculative.
If Russia had a hand in the Steele dossier, that would imply that Hillary Clintons campaign and the DNC either worked with Russians or were duped by the Russians in their disinformation campaigns.
It would mean that the real collusion with Russia may have been on the Clinton side, rather than the Trump side.

July 2017...
While the mainstream news media hunts for evidence of Trump-Russia collusion, the public record shows that Democrats have willfully used Moscow disinformation to influence the presidential election against Donald Trump and attack his administration.
The disinformation came in the form of a Russian-fed dossier written by former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele. It contains a series of unverified criminal charges against Mr. Trumps campaign aides, such as coordinating Moscows hacking of Democratic Party computers.
Some Democrats have widely circulated the discredited information.
Mr. Steele was paid by the Democrat-funded opposition research firm Fusion GPS with money from a Hillary Clinton backer.
Fusion GPS distributed the dossier among Democrats and journalists. The information fell into the hands of the FBI, which used it in part to investigate Mr. Trumps campaign aides.
Mr. Steele makes clear that his unproven charges came almost exclusively from sources linked to the Kremlin and Russian President Vladimir Putin. He identified his sources as a senior Russian Foreign Ministry figure, a former top level Russian intelligence officer active inside the Kremlin, a senior Kremlin official and a senior Russian government official.
The same Democrats who have condemned Russias election interference via plying fake news and hacking email servers have quoted freely from the Steele anti-Trump memos derived from creatures of the Kremlin.
In other words, there is public evidence of significant, indirect collusion between Democrats and Russian disinformation...

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Clinton-Obama-Biden-Ukraine collusion/corruption scandal seems to revolve around PRO-RUSSIA people in the Ukraine. From what I've seen and heard, on Sean Hannity's radio and television shows, neither he nor John Solomon, who have both otherwise done outstanding work on this story, have pointed out to their viewers/listeners this key bit of information -ETL

"In late April, around the time the vice president made an official trip to Ukraine, Burisma allegedly appointed Devon Archer, one of Hunter Bidens business partners, to its board as well.
Heres a brief write-up on the story from the Moscow Times, an English-language news service based in Russia.
These dual announcements raise more questions than they answer. The prominence of the individuals involved Hunter Biden is the vice presidents son, while Devon Archer was a major bundler for John Kerry and also his stepsons college roommate

Yanukovich was removed from his position in February 2014.
He currently lives in exile in Russia and is wanted by Ukraine for high treason.

The campaign was often bitter and violent.
Yushchenko became seriously ill in early September 2004.
He was flown to Viennas Rudolfinerhaus clinic for treatment and diagnosed with acute pancreatitis, accompanied by interstitial edematous changes, due to a serious viral infection and chemical substances that are not normally found in food products.
Yushchenko claimed that he had been poisoned by government agents.
After the illness, his face was greatly disfigured: jaundiced, bloated, and pockmarked.
British toxicologist Professor John Henry of St Marys Hospital in London declared the changes in Yushchenkos face were due to chloracne, which results from dioxin poisoning.[17]
Dutch toxicologist Bram Brouwer also stated his changes in appearance were the result of chloracne, and found dioxin levels in Yushchenkos blood 6,000 times above normal.[18]
On December 11, Dr. Michael Zimpfer of the Rudolfinerhaus clinic declared that Yushchenko had ingested TCDD dioxin and had 1,000 times the usual concentration in his body.[19]
