Activists affiliated with Movimento Cosecha today marched from Perth Amboy to the Woodbridge office of Speaker Craig Coughlin (D-19) in an effort to get establishment Democrats to commit to driver’s licenses for undocumented workers.
“Half a million would benefit from this bill in New Jersey,” organizer Carlos Rojas Rodriguez told InsiderNJ, refering A-4743 sponsored by Assemblywoman Annette Quijano (D-20).
He appreciated Coughlin appearing outside his office to greet the marchers.
“But it didn’t sound like it was a priority for him for now,” said Rodriguez. “He didn’t give us a solid commitment and timeline to get this done before lawmakers go on vacation on June 30th.”
Rodriguez, who addressed the speaker directly today, said the effort to obtain driver’s licenses for undocumented workers has been a pending issue since the Corzine Administration conducted a blue ribbon panel.

What next? Freedom to evict palefaces from homes deemed larger than necessary? If illegals can bunk a dozen people per room, then natives should do likewise.

One of my great-grandparents was a native of Perth Amboy. We have some interesting family lore about the early 20th-c natives, including the poobahs on Water Street (among them, the man who prosecuted the Lindbergh baby kidnapper).
In a modern day version of Hero and Leander, she used to take the ferry to Staten Island to meet her beloved, who was subject to being chased out of her neighborhood for being an Eye-talian.
Those days are long gone and according to my parents the city is now a suburb of San Juan, and has been one for decades.
Can’t get much more brazen than this.
They are here illegally, taking jobs away from Americans, collecting taxpayer benefits, including free medical care, committing crimes and engaging in voter fraud.
Yet they walk around free as a bird making demands of the state.
It should be noted that the state of New Jersey took $2.1 million away from the Veterans and redirected it to pay legal fees so the illegals would not be deported.
Veterans that fought and were willing to sacrifice their lives for this country, and many came back crazy or blind or deaf or with only one arm or leg.
There should have been dozens of blue and white buses, from DHS/ICE/CBP, there to bus them all back to the border.
Yes, Perth Amboy is very Hispanic now.
Oh yeah, that...then no go zones. They have a structured plan for taking over. Invader, aka 3rd world, collectives pressuring politicians in areas they dominate.
If they get driver’s licenses, they’re not undocumented.
