Past recipients have been Aretha Franklin, Roger Staubach and Joe Biden, etc

So I’m good with Tiger.

cnn and msnbc say it is because Tiger and Trump have financial ties due to some golf course projects. This is payback for that.

+2. Really cheapens the medal. Tiger screws his own life up and then works his way back? Happens to millions and no I don’t find it inspirational.

Why not? It has over history been presented to 3/4 other top American golfers; why not Tiger?

Frankly I think our society is SUPPOSED be great due to the private achievements of citizens who in their Liberty excel greatly; not the “achievements” of government.

Why not? Watching the ceremony, it was clear that Trump enjoyed being able to confer well-deserved praise on a long-time friend. Trump likes Woods and sincerely respects his skill, hard work, and remarkable professional comeback. And is there any reason why those are inadequate as a basis for a Presidential honor award?

Why Not? Obama gave one to Ellen Degenerate just for being gay.

Tiger went through a lot of prejudice as a. young man, but became the greatest champion in golf. Then he had embarrassing fall from grace when he lost his wife and kids, and didn’t win any m ore. THEN, he recently won the Masters, one of the biggest of golf tournaments. He was 40, which is old for a great golfer. He’s back on top, And proudly voted for Trump.

Great golfer, great American, great black person, whaddaya want?

(Golfers are usually Republicans)

For his comeback, after 11 years and about four back surgeries, and winning the Masters.

For his grit and determination and for being an inspiration.
The youngest ever to win and the second oldest to win.

He joins Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and another golfer I don’t know.

A pleasant feel-good story.
