Watchmaker, a legendary handicapper, just wrote in that article that IT DOESNT MATTER what kind of race it is. They must play by the same rules.

Total nonsense about War of Will. It was CLEARLY MS shying. Saez stated that to the pony reporter after the finish line that his horse got scared of the crowd, WELL before the inquiry started (I was waiting for an objection to finally be raised).

It doesn’t matter that the horse was best, or that a CONSENSUS of fans thinks nothing happened (just like that “most scientists think there is global warming”). It DID happen and them’s the rules.

“No harm no foul” is a pretty good guide. Even in law, if something is done wrongly at trial, if it is found that the wrongdoing did not affect the outcome of the case, the wrongdoing is considered of no effect and the case is closed.

Here, although MS did go into the other horse’s lane, there was essentially no effect. Both continued at their pace.

THAT should have been the major consideration, but apparently wasn’t.
