Hiring surge lifts economy — and Trump’s reelection chances

The lowest unemployment rate in a half century. More than 260,000 new jobs. And higher hourly wages.

“I’ll be running on the economy,” President Donald Trump declared on Friday. And why wouldn’t he?

The day’s new round of sunny employment figures offered fresh evidence of a strong national economy — and a big political advantage for Trump just as the 2020 presidential campaign begins to intensify. Stocks are at or near record levels , too, as the president often notes.

Democrats pointed to regional disparities in the new government report. And overall income inequality hasn’t narrowed.

But the Democrats who are fighting to deny the Republican president a second term are beginning to acknowledge the weight of their challenge: Since World War II, no incumbent president has ever lost reelection in a growing economy.

Even Trump’s critics are forced to admit the state of the economy could help him at the ballot box. …

He’ll be re-elected if we can contain the voting fraud in the big cities. Ballot harvesting in Philadelphia, Cleveland and a few other key swing-state metropolises could have a lot more impact than those job numbers.

Regardless we better be thinking about 2024 now, because the Soros funded Left sure is. The National Popular Vote and other schemes to cheat the Electoral college are intended for that election.

For now, pay no attention to any of it! The economy will propel Trump in 2020, and I’m sure president Ocasio-Cortez won’t be that hard to work with in 2024! /s

What's going to keep a lot of voters with President Trump is the dems being such jerks with their investigations of the investigation. What would solidify it is members of the coup hauled away in handcuffs, and not just a few unknowns to heap blame on.

Gas prices need to drop below $2.00/gal before the election, That always seals th deal for the incumbent.

In OH, early voting and write in ballots are a huge problem. They're situations where people are being told who to vote for, even brought in groups to the early voting

Voting day is very well regulated and supervised, but with so many layers that it's too complex for anyone to follow the whole process. There are back up actual ballots, but they'd only be checked with a recount. I personally don't like either the memory sticks that are transferred with police guard and a member of each political party to county voting HQ or the electronic sign ins. Seems like a lot of drama that doesn't do much to stop possible hacking.

That was my impression.

Democrats pointed to regional disparities in the new government report. And overall income inequality hasn’t narrowed.

The rising economy WILL fix the income inequality as more workers are demanded, and the price for their employment will go up.

As far as the entire country goes, many a boom has been in a particular region, and not everywhere at once.

It will spread, due to more dollars made available to people and business, and not locked up by government.

“Loath to write this, or AP looking for which track the Trump Train is on?”

New rat game plan, with 2008 precedent. Build up the economy and the chances for the Republican. Then pull the rug from under them with a home loan collapse.

This is really great, but it needs to still be happening on election day.

Trump has no chance of losing.

Our time is best spent on getting the right people in Congress and in his inner circle/cabinet, it seems to me.

may I remind everyone that we would be light years ahead of where we are now if the RNC and Republican leadership did the right thing from the beginning. No one man can do it alone.

“Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.”

— Communist goal #15
That is why the GOP establishment does not give the support to the President that they ought to. It’s been going on for decades.

Our side absolutely needs to ensure POTUS Trump pulls 2020 out and we need a game plan for 2024. Maybe the GOP will get their heads out of their butts by then.

".... we better be thinking about 2024 now, because the Soros funded Left sure is...."

I think Trump has a better than even chance to be re-elected because of his soaring economy.

The democRATS have nothing except "get the bad orange man" by hook, crook or impeachment. Their antics in the Congress will ensure his victory no doubt.

Even the weak field of the democRATic presidential hopefuls is rotten to the core and no one, not even groper, gaffer and slurring Joe will be able to touch him.

My concern, however, is the 2024 election also. Who do the Republicans have on-deck to follow Trump?

He's an almost impossible act to follow. One-of-a-kind. Who will be the one to follow in Trump's shoes?

Presuming that the GOP establishment wants anything besides the same left-wing goals as the Democrats is a bit too late. We were warned about this in the 1950s and 1960s.

They had “both Chambers of Congress” (as she-who-must-not-be-named might put it) in 2008. Never mind a compliant left-leaning president.

“Trump has no chance of losing.”

Back in the days when the American electorate had a political IQ above room temperature, votes were counted honestly and the msm was only moderately anti-Republican, I would have agreed with your assessment.

Not so much nowadays.

Republicans running on the economy alone is a big trap for them. The Democrats are great at bad-mouthing a Republican economy and arguing that the wrong people are prospering.

Sure wish somebody on Fox, like Hannity, would devote part of their show to going through that list of Communist Goals which was read into the Congressional Record back in the 30’s, and point out how the Demonrat party has worked so hard, and successfully, to accomplish them!

Love it or not, Trump has gutted the GOPe. Being in his team means a sure way to be limited to Trump’s term in influence and a good chance of being charged with a crime. Most GOP political hacks are terrified of what comes next.

Trump has changed the Republican party. He may have destroyed it in its current form. Not sure if that is all bad.
