Andy McCarthy said people involved in litigation against the Special Counsel have told him Mueller has pretty much delegated everything to his team.

Mueller is like a semi-retired senior partner in a law firm who is nominally in charge of some incredibly complicated matter for the client but just doesn’t have the energy or stamina or focus he once had many years ago and simply isn’t on top of things and in reality everything is handled by the other lawyers.

Undoubtedly Mueller has more or less rubber-stamped whatever Weissman wanted to do and what he knows about the special counsel investigation is not much more than what Weissman briefs him about periodically.

Mueller may have woken up from his nap and realized that Weissman was trying to screw over his colleague and friend of 30+ years (Barr) with the Dems trying to smear Barr with a perjury rap over the description of the Mueller Report with an assist from Weissman.

Barr gave him an out saying the snitty letter was probably written by someone under him.

I agree with that. I increasingly suspect Mueller has had an insubordination problem with Weismann.

I suspect Mueller’s main interest, given his term as FBI director, is in protecting the FIB. It’s growing more apparent they played a major role in the Obama admin criminality.

Oh Please!

Weasel Mueller is best buds with Weissman and totally agreed with all of the SWATings.

Weissman is his minion. And has been been for decades.

I agree very much with the first part of your analysis. I’ve seen that many times, and it is a good fit for what almost certainly happened. The second part, where Mueller wakes up and sees a duty to protect his friend Barr, is not likely. Neither is the assumption likely that Mueller is desperate to correct the record for the sake of history. Something else is happening we cannot see into at the moment. Whatever it is, it is no small thing and has everyone shaken up and moving in odd directions. The Democrats in the House and Senate are dialing it up to 11, and Mueller is backpedaling.

Yeah maybe Mueller woke up and realized the Dems were trying to screw his friend of 30 years or maybe he just realized there were transcripts of all the conversations he had with Barr and there were things said that would make him look like Inspector Javert from Les Miserables starting with the fact that he knew two years ago there was no collaboration with the Russians but kept this circus going anyway.
