Personally, I wouldn’t make too much of the difference between a reporter describing something as a letter vs describing it as a memorandum. (It’s actually in the form of a memorandum of law, not a brief.)
I read Will’s article and thought he missed the mark on the insinuation that Barr must have had an inside scoop on the Special Counsel to know that Mueller (Weissman) would be pursuing an unusual novel expanded theory of what legally constitutes obstruction of justice.
This was publicly known before that, about the obstruction theory being pushed by the SC. In fact, I think Rudy Giuliani may have objected to that theory in a letter to the SC which became public, IIRC. I think I may even have commented on here early on after the SC was appointed that the reason Dreeben was brought on board may have been because he was known to favor that expansive theory and is considered an authority on substantive federal criminal law.

I noticed Jack two or three months ago in a tweet or periscope claiming to have had this source and so since then I have periodically read up on his feed to see what his source has been telling him.
............... Glad we are reading about this here cuz the rest of the Nation won’t hear about it ..... Well .... other than the usual sources ..... DEFINITELY ........ NOT on the MSM .... Which most of the Earth relies on for their news sources ...... Never to hear about this stuff ....

Yeah maybe Mueller woke up and realized the Dems were trying to screw his friend of 30 years or maybe he just realized there were transcripts of all the conversations he had with Barr and there were things said that would make him look like Inspector Javert from Les Miserables starting with the fact that he knew two years ago there was no collaboration with the Russians but kept this circus going anyway.

And, while a huge number of mostly uninformed Americans heard over and over and over ad nauseam for the last 24 hours, Speaker of the House Pelosi call Barr a “criminal”, don’t expect the Mueller “correction” to get a peep.
Knowing the Democrats/Mueller/media like we do, it should be an easy call that this thing was entirely planned and scripted all along. Next week all America will be believing the Attorney General is corrupted. Nobody would have heard Mueller’s “correction”. Nobody.
Possibly Mueller himself concocted this plan. We can not put anything past these people. This crowd could have schooled Goebbels.
Mueller may be disturbed all right. The Dem circus has fixed on his characterization of Barr’s letter as proof of “lying to Congress” and therefore impeachable. These are people who haven’t even read the report yet. And Barr is holding all the cards, and Mueller has seen them.
That “guy with the southern accent” was Rep Louie Gohmert, R-TX. He is quite funny. I hear him on Rush and Joe Pags frequently.
It’s tough to keep up on all the Democrat hyperbolic diarrhea of the mouth, so I haven’t heard them all. What did Pelosi manage to say specifically that is particularly egregious?
I’m watching the full version of her press conference. My impression so far: She looks positively scared shitless. There’s a certain odor to that. She’s visibly aged in the last several days.
