They already knew there was no Russian collusion or interference. The entire operation was to create a false narrative to frame Trump.
I think he was naive, and more so after a few too many drinks. That does NOT make the government’s actions acceptable, no matter how drunk he was, or how self-aggrandizing he may or may not have been. He is blameless, here. Entrapment, even if the victim is foolish, is nonetheless, wrong. It will take a long time for this to work its way through the justice system, but Trump will most likely pardon him and the others, but of course, he’ll have to wait til after the election, because democrats are amoral dogs, and would use it against him.
Simply put, it was an attempt at entrapment, because the entire probable cause of the investigation into the Trump Campaign was based on a false premise, that the Steele Dossier was a probative document, when in fact it was fraudulent.
The NY Slimes are attempting to dodge the real issue.The real connections between Russia and the entire election came via the efforts of Hillary Clinton, Barrack Obama, Clapper ( illegal unmasking), Brennan 9 Getting MI-6 to pull an intelligence scam) and Comey ( refusing to prosecute Hillary Clinton, falsely instigating a Special prosecutor)
The lot of them were engaged in sedition.
For some reason, Mueller’s exhaustive investigation missed this little detail.

You have to “admire” the FBI/CIA’s tradecraft. Set up a single guy with a slutty chick who dishes dialogue like: “You Greek men are so attractive, like your Zorba and Acropolis too. Do you prefer Iliad or Odyssey? By the way, is Trump campaign working with Russia?” Wow, that’ll really pull it out of him. And pretending the assistant was Turkish was brilliant, considering the mutual enmity of Turks and Greeks. Do they use her to approach Armenians too?

There is a YouTube video of a speech by Louie Gohmert on the House floor listing all the corrupt prosecutorial actions committed by Mueller. It is impressive. He’s been dirty his entire career.
