A new survey has found that Americans are among the most negative people on the planet.
Gallups latest update on the worlds emotional state reported that 55 percent of Americans said they experienced a lot of stress in 2018, one of the highest rates out of the 143 countries polled and well above the global average of 35 percent.
The U.S. trailed only Greece (59 percent), the Philippines (58 percent) and Tanzania (57 percent) on the stress table and is tied with Iran, Albania and Sri Lanka at 55 percent.
The poll also reported that 45 percent of Americans said they felt worried a lot, and more than one in five, 22 percent of Americans said they felt angry a lot.
And according to Gallup, the economy's not the problem, as the survey found the levels of negative emotions are even higher than during the Great Recession.

I’m an American and I’m not negative. NO, NO, NO!!!
Higher than the great depression?
You mean when Obama was elected?
Gotta admit that when I went to bed on election night ‘16, I was about 75% sure that HRC was going to be the winner and POTUS for at least 4 years and that was something I could not turn into a positive, especially after eight years of Obama. There is still plenty to be negative about. My attitude towards the forces at work to destroy Trump is completely negative. The people, supposedly Americans, who did what seemed to me the unthinkable when in the name of the American people, they openly and unabashedly abused Justice Kavanaugh before the world on live television....Yeah, there’s plenty to be negative about...and that’s not necessarily a bad thing when there are so many ‘wrongs’ out there needing to be ‘righted’.
Not really.
All you need to do to be optimistic is read President Trump’s twitter on a daily basis.
It blows everything else away.
I like to say that I have two “Uncle Donalds” and they’re both the same age- One is my dad’s brother and the other is President Trump.
We are NOT!!
