Welllll....I think what one, ahem, Senator, writes in a memoir, about another, ahem, Senator, has to be taken with a grain of salt. Similarly, what a Senator actually does tell another Senator must be similarly salted. Finally, anything that touches Specter is obviously riddled with lies. A second finally, it can both be true that Biden knew she was lying and that he was against Thomas from the beginning (he was). Pfft. Facts don’t matter to these people. Whether Thomas did the stuff hill said was irrelevant (he didn’t, of course). It was a high tech lynching.
(Of course all that said....Specter was pretty good in those hearings....as was Hatch).

“Well” as a respected (again by Conservatives) President often prefaced forthcoming statements, then that makes Ol’ Joe a liar too.
My logic? IF she was a liar, and Ol’ Joe supported her lying, because he didn’t like Clarence Thomas, or any other reason then he too is a liar, but then we already know he’s a Democrat.
