The Attacks on Christians and America's First Freedom

The Islamic State (ISIS) has now taken credit for the Muslim massacre of Christians in Sri Lana. On average over 300 Christians a month are killed for their faith globally. This is the end result of a campaign of disrespect and hate towards Christians that have become a significant theme of American politics as well.

Is it merely coincidental that the most rapidly rising candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination, Pete Buttigieg launched his campaign with an unfounded and unprovoked attack on America’s vice president because he is a Christian? In fact, as Buttigieg’s governor in Indiana, Pence had been particularly generous to Buttigieg when he publicly revealed his sexual orientation. But Buttigieg would not be dissuaded by Pence’s gesture of tolerance.

Buttigieg’s hatred was inspired by Pence’s Christian beliefs not any anti-gay behavior on his part. In other words, it was an assault on Americans’ most basic freedom – religious liberty. Buttigieg’s attack took place without so much as a demurral from any national Democratic figure, and in fact led directly to Buttigieg’s ascension to third place in the Democratic primary race. That alone speaks volumes about the anti-Christian prejudices manifested by the left in this country.

Consider Barack Obama, who referred to the Sri-Lankans murdered in church as “Easter worshippers” -- as though they were druids on holiday rather than Christians worshipping their savior on the day they believed He rose from the dead. The other side of this disrespect is the zeal with which leftists have closed ranks around supporters of the Islamic war against infidels like congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, both of whom have done fund-raising speeches for terrorist-related groups.

I have been studying the Koran and Hadith for the past 20 plus years I'm Catholic.,p. The origin of Islam confuses me.

1. Mohammed said that he was praying alone in a cave when the angel Gabriel appeared to him and ordered him over and over "To read"!

2. Mohammed said he told Gabriel over and over that he couldn't read.

3.I'm thinking: Didn't Gabriel do a background check on this man who Allah chose to lead a nation?

4. for instance, Gabriel probably knows if I can read or not.

5. God/Allah obviously knew that Mohammed could or not read just as he knows whether or not I can read

6. I'm wondering: Did Allah simply forget to tell Gabriel, either on purpose or by mistake that Mohammed couldn't read.

7. Whatever happened, Allah placed Gabriel, at least, in a very embarrassing situation.

8. I can imagine this scene: Gabriel spends a clumsy few minutes apologizing to Mohammed for ordering him to read.

9. The logic of the Sre Lanka Moslem murderers makes me sick.

10. Their logic goes something like this: "If I blow up Christian churches and massacre 200 Christian women and children as they are praying in church on Easter Sunday, Allah will love me more and give me a free pass to heaven.

What sick thinking.

Every day new attacks on Christians in this country multiply. Every day the Democrat party becomes more and more hateful to Christians who believe in the bible. Every day we come closer to the rapture and cleansing of this filthy attack on Christianity and it can’t come fast enough to satisfy me.

“Democrats are determined to destroy the Electoral College, which was designed to protect the minority from the tyranny of the majority.”

It’s a modern benefit, but the EC was designed to install a President unburdened with political debts. Only then could he truthfully take his oath of office.

I would say both were conscious intents; they are not mutually exclusive: The Founders distrusted and rejected literal democracy.

Yes, the Virginia Plan proposed Congress elect Presidents. The Framers considered and rejected election by state governors and the people.

Like the Senate, Presidential elections were to be once removed, filtered once from direct election by the people.

I have been studying the Koran and Hadith off and on for the past 20 plus years I'm Catholic.,p. The origin of Islam confuses me.

*********

In comparison, think about the following:

1.Mary in the Bible.

2. Gabriel appeared to Mary before Jesus was born.

3. I bet that Gabriel knew every detail of Mary's life before he visited Mary. I bet he had been watching Mary for many years before he visited her. I bet he knew whether or not Mary could read

4. On the other hand, 600 to 700 years later, Gabriel didn't know that Mohammed could not read.

5. I hate to be critical of angel Gabriel, but it looks to me that Gabriel didn't do his homework before he visited Mohammed.
