Tulip growers in the Netherlands are pleading millennials to stop taking selfies among the flowers, after tourists caused thousands of euros' worth of damage by trampling over the plants in search of the perfect picture.
Colorful tulip fields throughout the Netherlands are popular destinations for visitors, but the rise of the selfie in recent years has resulted in damage as people enter and walk across the fields.

I bet a clever tulip grower could monetize this predicament somehow with safe paths through the flower beds to good spots for a shot for a an admittance fee or such.

Possibly — maybe even with pre-placed cameras too, and the photo subject would be able to pay for a digital copy of the photo. If people would therefore respect the flowers.
Come to the Pella Iowa tulip festival. Much cheaper and they sell wooden shoes.

I think the worst I have seen is a self-absorbed 20/30-something on her cell phone. Her dog, on an extended leash, doing business within inches of a Korean War Memorial.
Ran across a “Barney Miller” episode a few months back.

We have the same thing here it is bluebonnet season our town promotes the bluebonnet trails.
People stop in the middle of a 2 lane road and park to take pictures. They drove into the fields and got stuck until everyone built fences now they just climb the fences.
No respect old or young many are from other states. My favorite thing was to show them the gun range next on the property of the fence they just went through. They would quickly get back in the car and drive elsewhere.
Tulips are better than one.
Even in Victoria BC to visit the Butchart Gardens, everyone including Americans were disciplined enough to follow the rules...methinks it’s either the stupid parents or the kids are just your garden-variety immigrant.
