I think people forget you don’t need to be guilty of a crime for impeachment.
Impeachment isn’t a punishment.
Impeachment doesn’t indicate a crime.
Impeachment is about behavior unbecoming a public official. It the beginning of a cleansing of the post.
Thus it becomes about personal opinion and perspective. (Obviously, usually politicized.) You really do need a solid majority of the electoral branch all on the same page. That only happens when the behavior is truly egregious beyond a political ideology.
That’s not going on here.
This is all about ‘payback’ for Clinton’s 1998 impeachment................
You also have to be sure that the supporters of the President you’re trying to impeach aren’t waking up every morning wondering if today is the day that they and a few hundred thousand of their closest friends are going to throw the rope and the boom-sticks in the van and drive to the The Swamp and start decorating the cherry trees with deserving Swamp critters...
