WASHINGTON — Two months before special counsel Robert Mueller was appointed in the spring of 2017, President Donald Trump picked up the phone and called the head of the largest U.S. intelligence agency. Trump told Mike Rogers, director of the National Security Agency, that news stories alleging that Trump's 2016 White House campaign had ties to Russia were false and the president asked whether Rogers could do anything to counter them.

Yeah, isn’t this sort of weird piece. In most tellings of this story that I’ve heard, Mike Rogers is the “white hat” who exposed the illegal spying, who Obama wanted to fire, who let Trump know that he was being surveilled during the transition.

The entire community needs to be examined and cleaned out. Cut them down to near nothing in size. Then rebuild with personnel who vow to uphold the Constitution and laws of the United States.

There has been no mention, zero coverage of possible NSA participation in the Obama/Hillary/FBI/Justice Department attempted coup.
There is a reason for that. Mike Rogers and the NSA were non-particants in the attempt by the Dems to frame Trump and remove him from office.
IMHO the driving force behind all of this is the Dems belief that Trump would justifiably go after Hillary and take huge chunks of the FBI and Justice down with her.
Shumer said at the time that if Trump messed with the intelligence community that they have six ways to Sunday to get you. What did he know and when did he know it? They were all in it together to get Trump. You can’t keep a good man down.
Not until we separate the Den of Spies into only the State Department with clearly declared agency personnel; non in cover positions. Even turning the LEGAT Office of the FBI into spys overseas went against the stated purposes of not calling it the FBI Office overseas... and to become spies overseas working with LEGAT shows that State needs to be one a better landlord, and two demand their tenants act as congress intended.
