Too many school teachers hate capitalism – and are vowing to get rid of Trump in 2020
American Thinker ^ | Karen McQuillan

School teachers are the largest single occupational group contributing to socialist Bernie Sanders’s presidential campaign. As Breitbart notes, “A disproportionate number of those to whom we have entrusted the task of passing our values on to the next generation disagree with those values and would prefer a “revolution.”

So many school teachers in North Carolina joined Marxist May Day protests organized by #RedforEd, the four largest school districts shut down for the day.

#RedforEd talks about hirer [sic] wages and Medicare for all. They pretend to be bi-partisan. They are anything but mainstream:

A well-funded and subversive leftist movement of teachers in the United States threatens to tilt the political balance nationwide in the direction of Democrats across the country as Republicans barely hang on in key states that they need to hold for President Donald Trump to win re-election and for Republicans to have a shot at retaking the House and holding onto their Senate majority.”

It is easy to see why school teachers would be anti-"capitalist" in that they do not participate in the free-market system but draw their checks from the government.

I have old friends who are school teachers and they actually think working for a profit is a mark of disgrace. I also suspect that deep down inside they are afraid they wouldn't be able to cut the mustard in a world where success (the difference between financial life or death) is based on merit.

My experience with such people leads me to believe that many would choose life in a zoo to life in the jungle. Perhaps this is because working for the government (in education) is to a large part like living in a zoo.

Do they really think they’ll be better off and make more money under socialism?

Why does the term “useful idiots” come to mind?

They hate businessmen because they are "better off"...

They want everyone to be trapped in a world of low but equal wages.

teachers who were raised on and echo Howard Zinn’s Communist revisionist history of America.

How many Obamajugend are now teachers themselves only 10 years later?

If people who hate capitalism are vowing to get rid of Trump in 2020 are teaching our kids then it is they who must go.

Trump didn't invent capitalism. These people have a serious mental disconnect.
They simply hate Trump...well...because...Trump. They shouldn't be allowed near any children.

I worked along side these folks; their fears are justified.

“Those that can’t, teach.”

Local school districts which cut the checks for their teachers get their money from bonds and property tax assessment, the more expensive a property, the hight the tax paid.

Under a socialism, owners of expensive houses will be forced to sell because it is unfair to own such a grand property, the taxes levied will be onerous, and they will either be fired or have their business closed or taken over by the socialist government. The result of which will be lower amounts collected and therefore lower pay for teachers.

This is like when the Pacific NW Tribes were given exclusive commercial fishing rights by the government - they immediately set about dynamiting the spawning salmon or netting off the rivers to make big bucks but destroyed or greatly reduced numerous salmon runs, resulting in fewer fish and less money.

Also this is the second generation of teachers who never learned anything in school except “how to teach”. So socialism is a nice sounding word and very agreeable unlike evil sounding Capitalism (coined by K Marx), of course they will idiotically and in near total willful ignorance gravitate to socialism since everyone else is. Don’t want to be left out of the herd, in an unfriendly place not very social.

They hate Trump because he represents "capitalism."

They hate "capitalism" because they know it is an insulting nickname for the business side of what they really hate.

REALITY.

People who teach may virtue signal about wanting to help children but the truth is they really just wanted to avoid growing up and having to enter the "real world."

There are clearly too many leftists teaching our children and making them into mindless followers of leftism.

Yes, and also because those who can do, and those who can’t teach.

I can vouch first-hand for the fact that most all teaches with whom I taught are liberal leftists. They will NOT tolerate someone teaching with them who is conservative and will do everything in their power to get the conservative fired. I never discovered the source of that philosophy except to say it has to be coming from the universities. My undergraduate work was from a very good Christian school, so I escaped that indoctrination. After that, it was constant suffering under the dark side. However, my will can not be broken.

I was a guest speaker to a 7th grade class at a top college prep school and was shocked by the nonsense the teacher spewed in his introduction and commentary. They are the silliest bunch of incompetents one could assemble under one roof.

I’ll support any pro-Marxist school teacher if they can prove to me they can live on a salary of $20 a week for an entire year, after all that’s what they want right?

It even worse than "those who can't, teach."

It's "those who are afraid to even try, teach."

If those chickenshiites just had the courage to try, some (perhaps even many) would achieve some semblance of success. And most of all, they would taste "freedom" outside of the zoo.

Even those who try and fail are superior to those who never try at all (and cower in their zoo cages).

Public education today is pretty much non essential. It baffles me why the internet is not used 100% now and I assume it’s because parents want to get their kids out of the house. But websites like Khan academy, why would a kid need to travel to a public classroom every day when websites like this exist? Straight to the point lessons without the Marxist indoctrinations. Children are not forced to sign songs praising Obama or Hillary, all the BS is eliminated....

All they care about is the money.

If they truly cared about their students, they wouldn’t be walking out of class and marching in the streets every few months demanding more and more money. Red4Ed has been making a scene for awhile now here in AZ.

Unions tend to accumulate the incompetent just like the military, over time those who cannot compete drift into non competitive jobs and accumulate power. That power in the hands of the incompetent is turned on who they fear, the competent until the entire system sinks into corruption.

Unions ARE socialism.

Stop calling them “teachers” They are corrupters of children waiting on the millstone “accouterments” for their journey to the bottom of the sea...
