"Watergate" journalist Bob Woodward told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on Friday that in the wake of the Mueller report, he is waiting for someone to come forward with "tapes or new evidence."
BOB WOODWARD: Well, first of all, I think the report is quite amazing, and the Attorney General Barr did himself a massive disservice because his letter quoted a portion of the report that looked like Trump was off the hook on obstruction of justice, but as we know on page 182, Mueller makes it very clear that they did not reach this issue because of evidence, because they could not make a determination determination. Joe may remember this, but the day Reagan was shot 1981 was it was Al Haig who rushed in and defined the way people were going to remember him by saying 'I'm in charge here.' Of course, he wasn't.
And Barr is going to be remembered for this because it was not — it was just a deception and a misrepresentation of what this report shows.
Now, where it goes, I think it turns on the quality of evidence. In the Nixon case again, I’m sorry to go back but the tapes showed conclusively the President of the United States ordered the payment of hush money to the Watergate burglars and their overseers. He did it again and again, said, 'Let’s blow the safe, let’s break in.'
Now, in the case of the Trump case here, they stumbled, Trump stumbled. It was kind of obstruction of justice-lite. There were lots of people who said, 'I’m not going to do these things that he ordered.' So where this goes, does somebody come up with tapes or new evidence? I think that would be the propellant here.

actually, Trump should have cleaned house on day 1....this is one the real problem hes had..he didnt have his own people in place ready to go. When he fired Comey in May, by then, the media and the dems were really pushing the silly “collusion” story and it looked like Comey was fired because of the “investigation”. I knew they would be going after him because he won, but iv’e never seen anything like this. They threw everything at this guy and hes still standing...even more astonishing, hes got a good chance of getting re-elected. Theres only one real way to stop this...and what they’ve said about Barr the last few weeks, it might happen....gotta start marching these bastards in front of a Grand Jury.
actually...a year before the Watergate break in, Nixon was furious about the Pentagon Papers leaks and he was convinced that other classified docs relating to Vietnam and other foriegn policy docs were being kept at the Brookings Institute, the left wing think tank. In a June 1971 tape. he ranted that he wanted Brookings fire bombed and the safes there to be cleaned out...his aides said he was just venting and not serious..but the media ate it up.

I agree..he should have gotten rid of ANYONE associated with Obama..anyone that worked under Obama, anyone that supported Obama, anyone that was within 10 feet of Obama should have been fired on the spot..just give a shout out and say “Ok you are all FIRED adios!” never understood why he kept Comey at all, Comey was NEVER going to be loyal to Trump, he was only loyal to Obama and to Hillary Clinton, the fact that she was never charged for the emails alone showed that Comey was in her pocket..but Trump still kept him on, and by the time he was fired in May, the media already had their narrative that he was fired for not doing Trump’s “bidding”

Well, if you’re an (R), “cooperating with the investigation” means falling on your sword, pretending guilt, and naming whatever co-conspirators they imagine for you.

I had every one of those. The funny thing is I cannot recall ever throwing one out. It’s like they silently left, one at a time.
A man on a diet is out to dinner with his wife. He’s not cheated on his diet for weeks. However, he’s craving the triple chocolate cake to the point where he tells his wife to order it and share it with him, but she talks him out of it. Question: Did he cheat on his diet? That’s what the Democrats and media are trying to claim about our president. They accuse him of obstructing the investigation of a crime he didn’t commit because he wanted to fire Mueller and do other things to stop the assault on his presidency, but he was talked out of it by his advisors.

For water gate, there was a spying crime, and they were digging for proof Nixon was involved.
For spygate, the illegal spying conducted on Trump and his campaign was the actual crime, and they are still trying to invent a reason to justify the criminal activity conducted by Clinton and FBI/DOJ hacks.
Woodward has killed his credibility to the point of even diminishing his water gate work.
Anyone involved in perpetuating this lie should face massive financial liability...
Woodward should be at the top of a list of fraudsters who profited off of the collusion lie. People like him should be sued for fraud!
