Fox News contributor Donna Brazile defended former President Barack Obama on Friday as he faced criticism for his response to Russian meddling during the 2016 election.
"I think they did everything they could without sounding all of the alarm bells," she said of Obama's administration. The subject came up as Fox News host Dana Perino asked Brazile on "The Daily Briefing" about Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report — something Brazile said should be a "wake-up call" due to its troubling findings about Russian interference.
If Obama did more on Russian meddling, she said, critics would have accused him of trying to help his former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, in her race against then-candidate Donald Trump.
"He was in a box," Brazile said of Obama. "Perhaps President Trump is in a box," she added, before calling for action to prevent future meddling. Her comments came as the Obama administration faced renewed scrutiny over spying on the Trump campaign.

It was sickening to watch her first few visits as the newly hired contributor. Everyone pretending how they were happy to have her and they were all cozy and funny and buddy buddy, and her trying to act like she got along with everyone and joked around. I near puked.
I don’t watch The Five....mostly because after listening to Juan Williams for a few minutes I can’t function properly. He makes me so stupid I walk into walls and can’t put my socks on. It takes a little while to get some new brain cells back. I couldn’t imagine tuning in to hear Donna Brazille. Have they brought up Seth Rich yet?
Why would Fox hire her?
Take a good look at the people running the new company, the board, upper management.

I try to watch some Fox, but every time I see her obnoxious smug face I throw up a little in my mouth and change the channel!

I don’t for the life of me understand why Dana repeatedly derails Jesse when he starts to get too aggressive. But you watch carefully and you will see it. She derails Jesse regularly and at least several times a show.

For some bizarre reason Fox is trying to steal CNNs audience. Which is seriously stupid when you realize they will be trading the audience they have for it. But people are free to destroy their own property so go ahead, Fox. Have at it.

He was a “spy” but he couldn’t be prosecuted. Apparently he was working for the Chinese government to get political information about Feinstein, but the FBI couldn’t find any evidence that the guy ever had access to classified information.

Dana derails Jesse for the same reason she was gushing over Robert mueller and his expert report and for the same reason she and Eric bolling got into a nasty debate.
Dana is a lightweight conservative. She is infatuated with the Bushes and she despises Trump.
Now we see why Murdoch’s son running Fox hired Ms Brazile when they did - to run media interference in protection of Obama et al, once the Mueller nothing-birger came out.
