Live by the media hype, die by the media hype...for someone else. Such is the sad fate of poor Beto O'Rourke who just a few short weeks ago basked in the glow of mainstream media adulation. Unfortunately for the Irish guy with the Mexican nickname, the media has switched its attention to another shiny object in the form of Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend, Indiana, now "burning with the velocity of a prairie fire on a gusty Indiana day."
On Wednesday, Politico chronicled Beto's tragic loss of his magic mojo in "Why the Media Dumped Beto for Mayor Pete." Appropriately it was authored by Jack Shafer, who back in October begged the press to stop hyping Beto so vigorously in "Stop the Press Before It Profiles Beto ORourke Again."
Can one discern a bit of glee on Shafer's part as he reports on Beto's new has-been status?

Mayor of a smallish city, who has never run or built anything of substance, thinks he can be President and leader of the free world. And his Party is seriously promoting him. That’s rich.
You miss the point, the only point
The man is a queer. The only reason he is running is to increase queer viability. He is too seriously queer but not seriously presidential.
He in in effect a professional queer. He is queer for a living
Not so much. When he started attracting attention I don't think people knew he was gay.
He had the kind of resume that liberals like in candidates, but he wasn't going to go anywhere in Indiana politics, hence the presidential campaign.
Now he's attracting support because of the gay thing, but he'd be running even if he weren't homosexual.
So a homosexual, Buttigieg is who the DNC is conspiring to oust Joe Biden for? They are going down the wrong path!
Oh, yes. Satan sure seems to reward his disciples on earth in material goods. But that’s the extent of their “rewards.” They get the bill before long, and the cost is their souls. Sadly, some are fine with that.
