The Trump administration is proposing a new rule to try to block some 32,000 illegal immigrant-led families from claiming public housing assistance, saying it’s unfair to hundreds of thousands of Americans who are stuck on waiting lists.
Housing and Urban Development notified Congress Wednesday of the new rule, kicking off a schedule of publication and notice and comment that could have the plan finalized later this summer.
The plan would scrap Clinton-era regulations that allowed illegal immigrants to sign up for assistance without having to disclose their status.

Personally government shouldn’t be housing anyone, except perhaps needy veterans.
It’s way overdue. But I do question the number 32,000. It has to be many many times more than that.
Whatever happened to common sense? We owe these lawbreakers nothing. We have citizens waiting years for housing, while these squatters are breeding anchor babies so they can stay on welfare, free housing, free school lunches, free medical care etc. etc.etc.
No doubt it is many more than that. Gee, if the question was allowed to be on the Census form...”Are you a US Citizen?”
The Leftists say people won’t want to answer the Census form and be counted if they are not citizens...which for the Left, throws a wrench in their plans to increase their representation in Congress.
We see this as a win-win for us, and horns of a dilemma for them.
I’m wondering if the number of 32,000 is just the illegals on the waiting list, and if the true number of illegals already living in public housing at taxpayer expense is more like hundreds of thousands.

They not only get it, but they use different names and double, or triple up on a lot of handouts
