FBI using taxpayer funds to buy information to influence an election. First this is such a clear violation of the Hatch Act it just screams at anyone who ever spent a day as a government employee. Anyone involved should be terminated immediately, just as a start while taking further criminal proceedings.

And then...the whole thing is just so wrong that one doesn't know where to start.

..... This is old news ... We knew about the DOJ making payments to Steele last summer .... I think the only thing new is that we now know the number of payments ....

Rep. Matt Gatez (R-FL) on Wednesday filed a resolution to remove House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) from the Committee and revoke his security clearance.

Gatetz appeared on Fox News' "Tucker Carlson Tonight" to explain why he filed the resolution.

“I have filed legislation today, sent to the House, that Adam Schiff needs to be removed from the Intelligence Committee, because how are the rest of us supposed to be able to rely on a man, who you just showed, lied to the American people when he said that there was not spying? Or when he lied and said that there was actual evidence of collusion or clear evidence of collusion?” Gaetz began.

“If Adam Schiff is able to review covert operations and intelligence, and if we have to rely on his representation, our whole system is broken," Gatez said. "It would be like putting Lori Loughlin in charge of the college board. It would be like putting Jussie Smollett in charge of the hate crime of the FBI.

Comey and McCabe. The #1 and #2 at FBI. They were part of “the small group”, the conspirators. The conspiracy is going to turn out to have been a somewhat small but very senior group of Obama officials who were able to conceal their scheme from the rank and file at the agencies.

Let’s see now. The FBI paid Steele. DNC and SWMNBN paid Steele. The State Department paid Steele. Never Trumpers paid Steele. I’m sure Clapper and Brennan dropped some bills in Steele’s pocket.

Then both Comey and McCabe need to be prosecuted for financial wrongdoings within the agency. There are checks and balances on payments and disbursement. They obviously committed violations of policy. And prosecuting them for that is not obstruction of justice............

I’m certain that Comey and McCabe will both be prosecuted, and for crimes a lot more serious than paying Steele for a phony dossier. But I’m not even sure that paying Steele will be a crime.
