Much as I dislike Smith, this is exactly what he is supposed to do as a journalist. It seems very ailen when compared to all of the other “journalists” and their off the chain behavior recently.

Of course, this will be thoroughly investigated, for obvious reasons.

The conclusions of such an investigation have already been written - "Accidental Occurrence".

The French Government cannot afford to face the consequences of any other possible report.

No, there is nothing proper about journalists rudely shutting up guests who have credible information to share. Shep;s guest did not point the finger at anybody, only suggested that there have been a lot of church fires lately. This is factual information that is critically important to understanding what occurred. The second largest church in Paris had a fire just a month ago. Information like this absolutely should be linked in a news story. Lack of linkage would be a falsehood in this case. Journalism is not an exact science, but to report on a fire at the largest church in Paris and not mention that the second largest had just burned as well, is a sin of omission as far as I’m concerned. Just two cents from a professional journalist.
