This is akin to the sudden meteoric rise of The Clinton Crime Syndicate in the late 1980’s, the “Wonder Kids” who suddenly exploded on the American scene with the 1992 election, which Slick won on a fluke, only that Ross Perot drained so many votes from George H. W. Bush.
While GHWB was not the greatest thing ever to come to the top in America, four more years with him at the helm would have set the table for Donald J. Trump, who then would have been running as a Democrat, in the 1996 election.
And Trump being Trump, we would have had the same resurgence we are now seeing, only 20 years earlier.
Personally I just don't see it. I don't think the country has changed as much as the media thinks it has. I just don't see the country electing a gay man and his "husband" to the most powerful post in the land. Then again, the country did elect Obama, so who knows?
