Vice President Mike Pence fired back at Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg after the South Bend, Ind., mayor criticized the vice president for his belief that homosexuality is a choice.
"He said some things that are critical of my Christian faith and about me personally. And he knows better. He knows me," Pence told CNBC in an interview scheduled to air Thursday morning. "But I get it. You know, it’s – look, again, 19 people running for president on that side in a party that’s sliding off to the left. And they’re all competing with one another for how much more liberal they are."
Buttigieg, who is openly gay, discussed his sexual orientation during an event hosted by the LGBTQ Victory Fund last Sunday, saying: "If me being gay was a choice, it was made far, far above my pay grade ... That’s the thing that I wish the Mike Pence’s of the world would understand – that if you got a problem with who I am – your problem is not with me, your quarrel sir, is with my creator."

Last time I checked, this is a free Country where the Citizens have the Right to Free Association. If someone chooses not to hang around people who like certain “activities”, it’s no one’s business but theirs, or it used to be anyway.

What he’s claiming is that God “made” him gay like God would make a kleptomaniac or an alcoholic.
Until the discovery of a “gay gene” (which must be unlikely since they’ve been looking for one for 30 years now), there’s no scientific proof that anyone is “born gay”. It’s a learned behavior. And if it is a behavior, God is free to judge and condemn behaviors that fall short of His holiness and righteousness.
Could a heterosexual claim he was “born that way” as an excuse to randomly fornicate or commit adultery? No, a sincere, repentant Christian is expected to rule over his impulses that do not live up to God’s standards. Is the Mayor unaware how many times God’s word condemns homosexual practice?
My problem with the Creator is not that He condemns homosexual practice. My problem is with those who blaspheme against God’s Word and use it to justify their hedonistic pursuits.
IMHO....Pence, away down deep, is still a politician. I think that if he were POTUS, it would not be long before he’d revert to his old deep state ways. The lobbyists, et al, would roll him pretty quickly, and it would be business as usual in DC. The next POTUS must be a non-politician or we’ll very quickly be right back where we were before The Donald became POTUS.
