I have always said that one has to take everything from Politico with a grain of salt. Which means the publication lies a lot

“this person said” is Politico’s source.

“I have always said that one has to take everything from Politico with a grain of salt.”

Grain? How about the entire mine.

Politico is run by ex-Washington Post goons, if I’m not mistaken.

It sounds like Trump made a joke, and Politico pretended it was meant in earnest.

Since Trump’s election, Politico has gone down the drain.
Why?
Because Politico sells subscriptions to the establishment. That’s where their cornpone comes from. As an honest reporter, Samuel Clements, put it.

Keep talking, MSM, keep talking! We’re listening, and we hear you loud and clear!

You are nothing but loathsome liars, and we are happy you’re finally being exposed as the loathsome liars that you are!

Keep talking!

“What is one right granted under the First Amendment to the Constitution?”

This kind of ignorance of our countries founding documents and the principles that they are based on just infuriates me every time I see it.

The Constitution does not “grant” any rights to us. It enumerates rights already endowed to us by God. That is such a basic and necessary principal to understand. “Rights” by definition cannot be granted by a government or document.

I no longer believe any story that has "sources say" or "according to anonymous sources".

Name names or else it did not happen.

It’s true Washington was a large land owner.
He also sold a lot of his lands to cover the costs
of the continental army and the revolution.

Just like the signers of the Declaration of Independence
who all paid a real price for their allegiance.

You have to take everything you read, from the right or the left with a grain of salt. Everything today is written to evoke a political, social, or moral response. that said this claim was so ridiculous it had to have been thought up by someone with the maturity of a high school boy.

“asking why George Washington didn’t name any real estate after him”

If Trump had really asked that the tour guides might have said that there’s Washington, Virginia in Rappahannock County.

Platted by George when he was a surveyor for Lord Fairfax. Named for George in 1795.

Mount Vernon was the home of his older brother Lawrence. Lawrence Washington participated in the War of Jenkin’s Ear and named his home in honor of his commanding officer Admiral Edward Vernon.

Lawrence died young. His widow Anne Fairfax Washington married a Lee and rented Mount Vernon to 20 yr old George. George inherited the property when Anne died in 1761.

Not the only Lee-Washington connection. Martha Washington’s grandson G.W. Parke Custis of the Arlington estate was the father in law of Robert E Lee.

Some long time FReepers may remember this visit to Monticello (Jefferson’s Charlottesville, VA home) by the abject moron- Al Gore and the brighter (and more pervo) Billy Boy Clinton.

The original video is not on youtube. But here is from Rush’s TV show— where he showcases the idiocy and historically uninformed (for someone who claims he’s a big deal atty, and about “the people”) Al Gore:

Rush was younger and chubby (TV does that)— but the audio makes plain== Gore asks “Who are these people?” in re: the busts of LaFayette, Washington, and others. And “the look on Clinton’s face”— reveals how dumb he knew Gore was— and is.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3YrrhfRmKc

The dems go so far as to have fake sources not there to make fake claims about our highly informed and strongly interested in history— President Trump. It’s all they have.

We visited Mount Vernon, last year.

A beautiful place with such rich history.

Glad the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association put Polutico in it’s rightful place.

Is that his real voice? I don’t know him from Adam.
But I used to know a guy who talked like that. He had taken
shrapnel in his throat from the Korean War.

It appears a roll of Charmin would be a better investment than one of presidential historian Jon Meacham’s books.

SPOT ON.

Fwiw, my late wife “VK” was a newswoman on a Dallas TV station in the mid 1970s-early 80s.

She often said that when such “sources” are used, that 99% of the time there is NO REAL source & it is a KNOWING LIE.

Yours, TMN78247
