Democratic presidential contender Pete Buttigieg, a breakout star of the 2020 campaign, said if Vice President Mike Pence is mad at people for being gay, it's God he should actually be angry at.
'If me being gay was a choice it was a choice made far, far above my pay grade,' the South Bend mayor said Sunday at the LGBTQ Victory Fund event in Washington D.C.
'And that’s the thing I wish the Mike Pences of the world would understand. That if you have a problem with who I am, your problem is not with me. Your quarrel, sir, is with my creator,' he added.
Buttigieg is the first openly gay candidate for president in U.S. history.

This is the second prong of the attack on the Trump Administration. Removing Trump via Russian Collusion has been a bust, so they are focusing on Pence.

The LGBTQ lobby wants to have it both ways: on one hand, to chide Christians, they say “God made me this way, my condition is unchosen and permanent”; then they turn around and say that gender is “flexible” and can change from day to day on personal whim or the feelings of the moment.
The Democrats’ game is to paint Pence as being an bullying theocratic fossil out of touch with the mass of people in the 2020’s.
And with the rate at which social morays are decaying I’m afraid this will be successful.

Let’s assume for a moment that God did, in fact, “create” Buttigieg a “homosexual”. God still commanded them to refrain from the practice of sodomy. Assuming homosexuality is, in fact, hereditary, God still commanded homosexuals, both male and female, to refrain from homosexual sex. They are to remain celibate, or marry someone of the opposite sex. No exceptions, no excuses.
Buttigieg’s quarrel is with God, not Pence.
There is no evidence that people are born gay. Maybe there is some underlying genetic condition that triggers a homosexual response in certain people, but it’s all guesswork, at best.
It would be great if we could get to a point that we could treat homosexuality as a behavioral disorder in need of studies and treatment instead of enabling and celebrating it like it’s as normal as being born with blue eyes instead of brown. But, we can never have normal conversations with the left because they are by definition abnormal people.
I find it hard to believe that the Democrats will actually nominate this person, even if their base currently has a crush on him. He has been going around insulting Trump, Pence, and evangelicals generally over their religious beliefs. So it is probably to our advantage that he keeps spouting off and creating greater revulsion at the Democratic Party on the part of normal Americans.
If “God made me this way” is now an excuse than murder, pedophilia, rape, beastiality and just about anything under the sun is no longer a crime because God made them that way.
It’s an asinine statement made by dimwits who have no understanding of morality or philosophy but is just an outgrowth of the 60s hippy philosophy of “if it feels good - do it.”
Or - to wit - “when I do it it’s not a sin.”
This is what gay marriage gets you.

When has insulting Trump, Pence, or their base ever hurt a Democrat candidate? Does it hurt Trump when he does it to them?

My dear Mr. Buttigag, if our problem is with God then why do you keep making it about US? Enough already. We’re tired of being made your “problem”. I, for one, have always been perfectly willing to leave you alone with your sins. They are not my business and I’m surely not the cause of your discomfort with them. So keep them between yourself and God, and out of public discourse. It’s unseemly.

there are hetero couples that commit sodomy and think EXACTLY that- when they do it, it’s all good. so if it’s bad- it’s bad for everybody.
