The best defense, the saying goes, is a good offense.
The key orchestrators of the Big Trump-Russia Collusion Lie seem to have hewed tightly to that tactical advice.
Over the past two years, one of their biggest “tells” has been their hyper-aggressive and gratuitous attacks on the president. Given that special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation found no collusion or obstruction of justice, their constant broadsides now look, in retrospect, like calculated pre-emptive strikes to deflect attention and culpability away from themselves.
By accusing Mr. Trump of what they themselves were guilty of, they created a masterful distraction through projection.
We now know that former FBI Director James Comey and his deputy, Andrew McCabe, are hip-deep in the conspiracy. Both wrote supposed “tell-all” books and carpet-bombed the media with interviews in which they regularly flung criminal accusations against the president. Whenever asked about their own roles, they reverted to denouncing Mr. Trump.
With Mr. Mueller’s findings, Mr. Comey’s and Mr. McCabe’s media benders look increasingly suspicious.
As do those of their comrades in the Obama national security apparatus, including former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and his partner in possible crime, former CIA Director John Brennan, who, apart from former President Barack Obama himself, may be the biggest player of them all.
Any investigation into the origins and execution of the Big Lie must focus on Mr. Brennan, whose job as the nation’s chief spook would have prohibited him, by law, from engaging in any domestic political spy games.
Of course, the law didn’t stop him from illegally spying on the Senate Intelligence Committee by hacking into its computers and lying repeatedly about it, prompting Democratic senators to call for his resignation.

There was nothing particularly “masterful” about it. When you have the unconditional backing of the information and entertainment media, universities, a large part of the legal system and the Democrat Party, you needn’t be masterful to be effective.

Trump needs to enact a commission to begin the process of holding these people accountable. The noise from the idiot left will quiet down because they to are going to be investigated.
Honest, I would rather just see action on this and the border than to keep hearing about it.
If no one REALLY intends to do anything about certain issues, then just don’t mention it.

Brennan passed the background check for the CIA in 1980 - even after, during his lie-detector test he had to admit that he voted for Gus Hall (Communist Party USA president) for US President in the proir election. He has publicly admitted that and added that the CIA accepted his explanation that it was merely a protest vote against Watergate.
The problem with that explanation is that Brennan voted in New Jersey where 12 candidates were on the ballot for President 1976.

Very good point. It was actually more clumbsy and reckless than masterful. Brennan and company assumed that Hillary would protect them and their plot would never be exposed so they were not at all worried about expanding their lawless activities against Trump. And of course they had (and still have) lots of institutions backing them up just in case anything went wrong.
I cannot wait for the release of the FISA docs.
No, Obola is too inexperienced to have thought of the idea and methods of weaponizing the CIA-NSA and their Russian methods - though mean enough and immoral enough to do it once proposed. Mean enough and petty enough to encourage it once the methods and results were evident. (Hence the “email to myself” on the last hour before Trump’s inauguration.
Clapper and Brennan? Yes, they know the methods, have been inside both the CIA and NSA long enough to know the Russian “disinformation” patterns of Fake News and “honeypots” and “investigation by rumor and leaks” that characterized the persecution in the Washington news media from 2015 through early 2017.
Jarret, Rice, DOJ? Absolutely - Once they had any illusion or “cover” of legitimacy by the White House (or ANY member of their Senate or House committees saying “We must look into this” such as John McCain)
