This is exhausting, but it has to be done. We deserve answers. We deserve open court files. We deserve transparency in every case.
We deserve a states attorney who will treat the rich and the poor the same not someone who will make decisions based upon who calls on the phone about it, OBrien wrote. We deserve a states attorney who will tell us what is happening not seal the file so we cant read it.
Does our states attorney prosecute people who break into our homes or rob us with guns or knives? We need an answer and its shocking that we even have to ask.
This is a fight worth fighting for us, our children and our system of justice. The rule of law is why people fought and died for our country, so the least we can do is fight for some answers.
Lets get what we are paying big taxes for, the truth. The whole truth. Under oath. Lets get it.

OBrien, 63, retired from the First District Appellate Court in 2011 after 16 years of service. She previously served nine years as an Associate Judge. Before rising to the bench, she worked as an assistant public defender, trial lawyer, and instructor a the St. Louis University Law School.
This percolating oil slick of deception just keeps on spreading, doesn’t it? Now the Special Prosecutor is about to be prosecuted, for not properly prosecuting the lying defendant.
"I skipped law class the day they taught penalizing multiple felonies. I was getting my nails done."
Chicago columnists blasted Kim Foxx's decision to drop the 16 felony counts against hoaxer Smollett. Chicago police union called for a federal investigation into Kim Foxxs handling of the case.....her sub rosa actions on the Smollett familys behalf after she was contacted by Tina Tchen, Michelle Obama's onetime aide. Amateur hour is over. ....this is nothing new for Kim Foxx. Weve been complaining about her for two years on so many levels. Her office is just completely out of control.
Equally reprehensible are the idiots at Southern Illinois University School of Law who gave her a law degree. And those at Southern Illinois University Carbondale who let her out.
Some people never learn. The residents were really, and justifiably angry over the cover-up over the police shooting of Laquan McDonald. They held the police dash-cam coverage until after the mayoral election.
So what did the residents do, they elected a new prosecutor who comes from the same political machine. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Illinois can sometimes elect a Republican governor, but Chicago has a deep bench of corrupt demagogues to choose from... it’s like a game of whack-a-mole. You can whack the mole when he pops up his head but if you keep playing the game you know you’re just gonna see another mole pop its head up.
Is that what they're saying without actually saying it?
IL deserves what it get. And Chicago is about to get a whole lot crazier once they elect one of the two Marxists running for mayor.
........of course................
Justice O’Brien seems to forgotten that this is Chicago. Transparency, integrity, fairness, these are not concepts one finds in government there. Ms Foxx’s actions are the norm, not the exception. She was just a little more, not a lot more, brazen about it.
“Forget it Sheila, this is Chicago.”

Yup. That's a real website and a real app.
“However, if their contention is that the State level is so corrupted that such an investigation could not be done properly then I could understand wanting it to happen at the Federal level.”
Just something else to distract the Trump DOJ while other crap is going on. Screw it, let Illinois deal with it and use it as a Republican campaign ad for state congressional seats.
While the rich and famous get access to Foxx, murdered cab driver's family waits for answers
When pigs fly...
Did Chicago find the Missing Link?
However, if their contention is that the State level is so corrupted that such an investigation could not be done properly then I could understand wanting it to happen at the Federal level.
Thats what theyre saying. And theyre right.

The “Trib” could be doing some true journalism if they had assigned reporters to take a good look at Judge Watkins and his treatment of gang shootings also how local neighborhoods are affected by the way Chicago wards got sliced up to carve out minority districts for city council alderman and congressional districts.
Then they need to come out and say it in plain English
and stop beating around the bush!
Until they do they, IMO, get what they deserve.
No balls, no glory.
