I hate the dominant RINO/Never Trumper cast to the Ricochet site, but still listen to a number of their podcasts. This is a great one with Niall Ferguson explaining how Trump has led the world’s leader class to seeing what China is about and getting behind his approach to the China threat:
Anyone with half a brain could see China has been getting more aggressive militarily, economically and technologically. Anyone but the Dims focused on Russian collusion.
And with two-thirds of a brain they knew this was coming over the past few decades, while China systematically fleeced us of our IP and our short term-thinking business execs and pols raked in the money and looked the other way.

Says, Session offered his resignation in that moment. Dowd went on to say that Rod was later seen cowering behind his desk waiting to be fired!
The above says all that anyone needs to know.
Those pushing the narrative that Rosenstein was a white hat in disguise can go pound sand. Rod was/is very much part of the establishment, go along, get along, putting self (pension) before country.

As I long feared, Dowd revealed foreign powers did scoff at Trump while he tried to negotiate mocking him and asking if he’d still be around. Dowd mentioned several specifically, including the Russians.
Sessions found out Mueller was being appointed special council was being appointed while in a meeting with his chief of staff and Trump in the Oval Office, a day after Mueller interviewed for the job of FBI director?

Dowd is very adenoid-y and sort of hard to understand in a few places but WELL WORTH the time. Amazing detail, big picture.

I never trusted him. I do not entirely trust any of these career DC lawyers. They are all blinded to some extent by that depraved sub-culture in which they have lived, and thrived, for decades.
The vaunted Andrew McCarthy defended Robert Mueller (with his known track record!) - and then had to publish a mea culpa last year. Corrupt or not, they are all too close to that world, and too compromised by legalism.
Agreed. They are all in the same swampy social mix in DC, doing swampy things IMO.
