They have to protect the student population if they want to have students. There is a cluster of schools (Rutgers, NJ Institute of Technology, Essex County College) in an area with few residential properties - but the bipedal hyenas migrate there for the easy pickings. I don’t know if the engineering school would be called “liberal”; STEM fields have no room for that. 1+1 always equals 2 - no way around that.
