No, No, No. Let's not get into the business that the Progressive Left founded. No to banning ideas on college campuses. No matter how reprehensible you may believe them to be. Ideas that everyone agree on need no protection. It's the ideas that matter that are almost always on the fringe. Colleges should be the places where such ideas are either accepted or rejected by society on the basis of their merit after rigorous debate. The only way to truly kill an idea is to expose it to the light of day and watch and see if it shrivels or thrives. The alternative is the gun or the sword.

Colleges USED TO BE (when i went to them), the arenas of ideas, that were examined by both critical thinking and logic. These days, THOSE two things are sorely lacking, and the invention of “the mantra of the day” has become “the norm”.
