Jussie Smollett is in the clear after the District Attorney in Cook County dropped all charges against the “Empire” star over allegations he lied to police in faking an alleged hate crime against himself.
According to reports, the state filed the motion to dismiss the case and the judge signed off. The judge also granted a motion to seal the case, according to Charlie De Mar of CBS Chicago.
Jussie Smollett is expected to speak to the media once the hearing has concluded.
Smollett’s attorneys released a statement saying, “Today, all criminal charges against Jussie Smollett were dropped and his record has been wiped clean of the filing of this tragic complaint against him. Jussie was attacked by two people he was unable to identify on January 29th. He was a victim who was vilified and made to appear as a perpetrator as a result of false and inappropriate remarks made to the public causing an inappropriate rush to judgment.”

The judge can’t make the prosecutors try the case. I mean it is Chicago. I’m sure it would be difficult to find 12 jurors in Chicago that would find him guilty.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens with federal case. They’d have the same pool of jurors.
Wonder if Tina Tchen’s involvement with Kim Foxx has anything to do with this.....

The state is keeping his bond for now. The state can’t prove its case at the moment, more investigation is needed.
We need to be patient and wait and see. He may not be out of the woods yet.

Dunno. I have never found any refutation of it on the internet. It's a popular meme.
The case is on hold. The City of Chicago is still holding his bond amount of 30 grand. More investigation is needed before they feel they can bring the case to a conviction.

Sounds like another version of Comey, to me. No district attorney would consider bringing charges in Chicago.
Smollet probably thinks he is invincible now. It is just a matter of time before he gets his comeuppance.
