Kellyanne Conway weighed in Thursday on the bitter Twitter feud between her husband George and President Trump, calling her spouse's criticism of her boss "unusual" while thanking Trump for defending her from what he thinks is unfairness.
My husband has been very critical of the president publicly, which is unlike him because hes usually a very private person, she told Maria Bartiromo
In the interview, Conway spoke at length about the household tensions over her administration work, with her husband openly questioning the president's mental health and Trump publicly attacking him as a "loser" on Twitter.
This is new," she said. "And what is also new is not supporting the agenda of the president and my work there, because when George took himself out of contention for a top job in the Department of Justice almost two years ago he put out a statement that many in the media refuse to cover now that we decided as a family ... it is not the right time for us both to have big jobs in the federal government and that he still supports the president, the work of the administration and his quote, wonderful wife.
I appreciate the president defending what he thinks is unfairness, Ill leave that up to him, but I was raised in a household of strong Italian Catholic women who taught me you air grievances like that in private. So it is very surprising to see it be so public.
She continued: [The president] is protective of me, thats what people really should take from this. Im not being asked to choose between my marriage and my job, Donald Trump has never made me feel that way. I know George is quoted recently as saying I wish she didnt work there.

They look pretty usual to me.
Your husband is a dickwad, Kellyanne.
Either divorce his ass or resign then KAC! Your husband or your boss!
Serves an Italian woman right for marrying an Irishman :)
JK!
Mr. Conway is JEALOUS of Kellyanne’s respect for Trump and support for his agenda.
Wow... this George character is BEYOND cucked!
When a wife sides with her boss over her own husband, it’s over. Just pack you sh*t and leave bro....
Serves an Italian woman right for marrying an Irishman :)
JK!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mixed marriages are tough. I should know, my sister married a Catholic.
I thought it Im glad you said it.
Well, look at the bright side, she didn’t marry THIS Catholic :) :)
Well her hubby is a lunatic azz so should be sided against. But I agree on the why is she still there???
Enough of this feud and the nasty comments it is generating. Trump needs to work the issues that will get him re-elected.
Hes got an Irish name, but hes not Irish. Hes Filipino.
It’s very bizarre! Sometimes I wonder if it’s all some wicked game played by all.
Her husband is a huge liability and I will bet she leaks while at home!
Just something about all of this that doesn’t make sense and for a POTUS to get involved, you would think he would ignore and not give the husband the time of day. Why waste time on a nutjob?
Well then tell your sister to shape up and get with the program!
Does she (and apparently you) realize that if everyone followed the Catholic faith 90% of the problems this country faces would not exist?
Get with it girl!
There goes my whole routine!!
I had 15 jokes to spread throughout the day :)
Thank you for correcting me.
It was in just.
Being of Italian descent myself, any animosity between Italians and Irish I ASSUME died some time around or before WWII.
Kellyanne should resign IMHO.
Hey Kellyanne, is it true that your husband has been having an affair with a 14 yr old boy in your neighborhood??
You never know the truth of any relationship unless you’re in it.
Trump has enough drama. This George/Kellyanne drama is unnecessary.
She needs to find another job.
It wont stop George from tweeting, but Trump wont have to be reserved
in his comments. Plus the WH probably has some juicy dirt on George.
Once Kellyanne is gone, that dirt can be made public.
