I can’t understand why the President would, once again, disparage a man as exemplary as my friend John McCain: heroic, courageous, patriotic, honorable, self-effacing, self-sacrificing, empathetic, and driven by duty to family, country, and God.
Let me see, has he ever said he did not understand why McCain and one of his lieutenants peddled the “Russian Hoax” line and it’s “Steel Dossier” to the FBI, DOJ and the media, during the last months of 2016, trying to upset the election??
No. Mitt never had the “national interest” in calling his friend McCain on the carpet for that.

Let's see, for eight years, McCain was the "Maverick" until he lost the election then no reference to the Maverick was ever mentioned again by the MSM......
I have a feeling Romney is going to be the next MSM "Maverick" as they attempt to make him the go to guy to criticize our current president and push him into another failed run for the presidency.

He was a hero in the 60s and 70s, and he was fine in the 80s. he was a complete asshole in the 2000s and ever since. We can all commend his service. We can also denigrate is disgusting conduct as a senator including his direct role in sedition against the President. He was an self centered ego driven jerk who purposely damaged both Bush’s and Trump’s presidencies. As usual Mitt is overlooking all of that.
They share one thing in common: they both took a dive in their respective elections against obama.

McCain’s actions - from the torpedoing of the obamacare repeal, to the fake, Russian, Dossier - can be laid directly at the feet of McCain.
Trump has underwent over two years of hell, because of the last, dying, hatefullness of John McCain.
Sounds like you life’s goal is to take McCain’s place in Congress.
Join Hillary, and you and Juan can be the “failed (to get elected) President’s club”.
Maybe, with any luck on our part, you’ll join your friend, McCain, sooner rather than later.
