Hate to bother you again but what does if the veto is sustained mean?
The house and senate can vote on it again?
Can courts stop this kind of order?
thanks.
These are things not so easily found in a google search.
Or maybe I just don’t know what the heck words to put in :)
“Can courts stop this kind of order?”
I’ve heard a few on this forum that state definitively that they cannot but I’m not so sure they are correct.
There really are not many things a court in one way or another cannot exercise their will. Also there have been people on Fox today saying that between the courts tying this up and the Senate/House voting on it every 6 months, it may effectively bar the Exec order from realizing fruition.
“Hate to bother you again but what does if the veto is sustained mean?”
Senate now has to vote to override the veto. 67 votes. They only have 59. If they don’t override the veto, bill is dead. Veto is sustained.
