The lawsuits are pouring in faster than illegal immigrants across the Southern border, even as we post. At least 2 categories of Class Action Plaintiffs are emerging:
1) Current students and graduates who have had their degrees devalued; and,
2) Students previously Denied admission who, arguably, would have been Admitted had their slot not been usurped by someone whose parents had purchased their grades, SAT scores, athletic credentials, etc.
Billion dollar suits and potential for millions of Plaintiffs if this has been going on, as is likely, ever since the SCOTUS outlawed prayer in the public schools in 1962.
Interesting possibilities, but I’d love to have a lawyer weigh in on this. Even if the plaintiffs had rock-solid cases on both counts in terms of the facts, how could anyone document that they’ve suffered any actual damages as a result?
