Newsbusters reports that the NABJ has placed CNN on a special media monitoring list, and a four-person team from the NABJ will perform further research and an analysis of CNNs diversity, inclusion and equity practices, then publicly report on identified deficiencies in hiring a diverse workforce in news decision-making capacities.
According to their statement, the black journalist group is also calling for a civil rights audit that examines the companys hiring, promotion and compensation practices.

Their statement claims:
Specifically, NABJ is concerned about the findings of preliminary research that reveals the following:
▪ CNN President Jeff Zucker has no black direct reports.
▪ There are no black Executive Producers at CNN.
▪ There are no black Vice Presidents on the news side at CNN.
▪ There are no black Senior Vice Presidents on the news side at CNN.
The NABJ wrote that they have delegates already engaged in very positive outreach with several other media companies including Fox News.
The group claims that CNN President Jeff Zucker is refusing to meet with them because he is still hostile that NABJs Vice President-Digital Roland Martins participation in a 2016 town hall meeting with Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. Previously, former Democratic National Committee Chair Donna Brazile admitted, according to a Time essay, she inadvertently disclosed a town hall topic to the Clinton campaign that was part of Martins research inquiry for the town hall.
Eating their own love it
Diversity means not excellence
Okay, but they think it’s all normal “democratic” behavior.
Not Black enough?
It is my impression that Blacks are tremendously over represented on the air. This morning I was flipping channels because I noticed some female panel which I knew I wouldn’t like.
There were three Black and one White females. Then the next channel had a Black female judge. Not my cup of tea tho I think she is fairly conservative. Next was some sort of entertainment show with one Black male and two Black females.
It basically seems like at times, that all you see is one race.
Just as I am typing this, a show just started. I turned off the TV. It was Family Feud with a Black host and one Black family vs. a White family.
Did I start to see a pattern?
Two things about that debate issue I haven’t forgotten.
1) Brazile played the race card, the female card and even the Christian card in denying that she had anything to do with disclosing the debate question to Hillary. Then later admitted she had lied about it. THIS, friends, is who the Democrats turned to for party leadership after Debbie Wassername Schultz was forced out. This liar.
2) Nobody, not even the conservative media, ever asked Hillary why *she* didn’t come forward to say she’d received a question in advance. Everyone just assumed it was normal for Hillary to use it to her advantage even though it was cheating. Why couldn’t she insist on not taking the question?
It's partly that everyone wants to virtue signal so they have blacks on the show.
Secondly, tv channels with over-the-air daytime programming have a large number of blacks because poorer blacks are one of the few demographics that may only have antenna-signal tv in their house. More affluent homes typically have cable or streaming so the advertisers can market more exclusively to blacks by putting their shows/commercials on antenna-signal tv.
Back in the 1990s, I commented about how this free booklet of apartment ads showed no people in any of their photos - only the apartment office or the swimming pool. My manager said that if the photos contained any black people, whites wouldn't apply to live there but if the photos contained only white people, blacks would file discrimination complaints. So the booklet had page after page of sterile non-populated apartment buildings.
How many White Executives are there at BET??
If Blacks want an all-Black network, why don’t they start one?
Think of the high ratings they could achieve by inviting Black actors, sports figures, celebrities, politicians, even criminals to come on their talk shows and complain 24/7 about even the smallest setback they experience and blame everything on White people.
And when an important event like the Oscars comes up, panels of angry Blacks could spend days denouncing Hollywood for not choosing a Black master of ceremonies.
It would be a gold mine.
I suspect you didn't format this page with links.
Are you using a website that formats? If so, can you tell me what it is?
I am using the "Source Viewer" extension for the Chromium browser.
Select the text on the source page, hit the button, and a popup window appears with the source text. Copy and paste that source text and (usually) make corrections to get rid of the garbage...(didn't notice that garbage this time)
You still need to know basic HTML, but it speeds the process considerably.
If Blacks want an all-Black network, why dont they start one?
Thank you.
Can't mean that - CNN doesn't have diversity or excellence.....this just gets me so confused....
He certainly is dumb enough.
“NABJ”
I was in college years ago when BJ Clinton was pushing the affirmative action BS; when recruiters from large accounting firms came they met with “NABA” - national association of black accountants - not the larger Accounting Society. The “association” defended it by pointing out that membership was open to all, and it was the first indication I’d seen of a phenomenon that is now being openly discussed by blacktivists today: White women have no reason to be included in affirmative action programs.
I pride myself on how much I don’t “give back” to those outside my tribe...
Well at least they are pro fag
